This can very easily be won by changing the AI Difficulty to amateur and you will easily win every race. If you win every race you do not even need to worry about your team-mate getting any points because you will get enough points to win it anyway.
If your playing through on legend, you probably wont get this until you get to Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari or maybe even Mercedes or Renault because at these teams your team-mate should pick up a reasonable amount of points and so should you.
You will not get the achievement until you finish the season.

The Constructor's Championship is for the teams and combines you and your team mates points. So it's easier when in a bigger team and your team mate will actually contribute points. But it's not impossible in a small team like Lotus. You just have to win pretty much every race. The trophy will pop at the end of the season even if you win the championship before that point.

This is the teams total points, so you're going to need a good team-mate. Webber (Redbull), Hamilton (Mclaren) or Alonso (Ferrari) are your best bet. Win as often as you can and this won't be a problem.
