How to unlock the One-Two achievement in F1 2010 - Definitive Guide

Impossible to get with any of the back/midfield teams.

Your best bets are obviously McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari. Just race away, and hope your team-mate is in Second or First. Can be done with only 3 laps if needed, should help eliminate the bug mentioned below.

You can "assist" your team-mate in getting the desired position, damage in the game is incredible, and Front Wings are very delicate....AI always pits when they are damaged, regardless of race length....... if you get where im coming from.

Note; there is a serious Pit Lane bug which cause cars to be held in their box for far too long. Codemasters are working on this issue, expect a patch shortly (as of 30/09/10).

When I drove for McLaren, Button was almost never second. The year after I drove for Ferrari and Alonso was almost everytime second. Ferrari is a better choice than McLaren.

I almost just did this with Force India. Started on pole and in the rain, so I just drove slowly and basically got in the way of whoever tried to pass, resulting in a few spin-offs and a lot of destroyed front wings for the usual suspects (Button, Webber, etc). Next thing I know Sutil (my teammate) is third, and when Alonso tried to pass I forced him off the track, taking Sutil to second with one lap left.

But he messed it up somewhere, came in fourth. I tried to slow the field down again but it wasn't quite enough. Guess I'll have to do it with Ferrari or McLaren at some point.

Your best bet is from the 2nd season onwards as it is very, very, VERY unlikely that your teammate in the 1st season will achieve 2nd/1st. If you are winning slightly by your teammate, I would let him go first and block the other cars.

You'll have to wait until you are at one of the big teams for this (McLaren, Red Bull or Ferrari). You and your team mate have to finish 1st and 2nd in a race for the trophy to pop. If your team mate is fast at a particular track and gets pole, or you get pole and he is 2nd, you could sit behind your team mate for a couple laps holding up the others. Then you are free to race and he should have a gap to help him to hold onto 2nd at least.

This is only possible with a higher class team. As such, you will not be able to get this in your first season. If you receive a contract offer from either Redbull, Mclaren or Ferrari, accept it. Win a race with your team-mate in second position to unlock the achievement.
