How to unlock the Co-op Drivers' World Champion achievement in F1 2011 - Definitive Guide
The person that quit out can then start the co-op race from Brazil by pressing "continue co-op championship" and invite the other person (or someone else) in. They will then receive all 3 achievements when they win. You can invite any friend to race 19 and quit out to give them all 3 achievements worth 100G just for doing a 3 lap race of Brazil. I've helped lots of people get it just by starting the race and leaving them to win it (I can't help any more as I traded the game in for F1 2012).
You can also get the "Solid Performance" and "It's the driver not the car" achievements worth 65G at the same time.
Looks like its patched up, because I completed the co-op championship with a fellow booster. I selected the "Continue co-op championship", pressed the "Invite friend" button and it didn´t even allow me to select a friend. It automatically sent the invite to the guy that I boosted this.
You actually don´t have to get 9 wins per person, we managed to get a very decent point lead with the third guy in the points after Singapore, we just kept skipping the practice and qualifying session. When the race started we both just floored the gas pedal and rammed the first wall at the end of the straight and both got disqualified. We kept this going on until we got to Brazil and then used the quit out method.
This method will save a lot of time instead of completing the 4-5 races before Brazil.
The key to getting all three co-op achievements in one season is making sure you block your closest rivals in the standings at the start of the race so they lose positions, but just enough that you get a warning and don't get disqualified yourself. Also make sure the AI is set to the the easiest difficulty when you start the season, that way you'll make up the positions again without too much trouble and take the win. You need to try make sure that your main rival never scores more than 25 with both cars. Most importantly, don't crash into anyone, you'll often end up 2nd best AND have a 10 sec penalty for every incident... Rather use the blocking tactic, but at a slow speed and not too long as not to be disqualified.
Hope that helps any peeps like me who couldn't be bothered with the admin of a live co-op partner.
This can only be done over Xbox Live. To find a co-op partner, look here: Co-op Partners. Select multiplayer from the main menu, then choose Co-op Championship. Invite your partner and proceed to race through a season (19 tracks). You can set it to easy and lower the amount of laps to 3, if you're looking to get it done quickly. Whoever finishes with the most points at the end of the season, wins the Driver's World Championship. Points are awarded to the top ten finishers in each race. The amounts are as follows:
1st - 25
2nd - 18
3rd - 15
4th - 12
5th - 10
6th - 8
7th - 6
8th - 4
9th - 2
10th - 1
Note: If you want to avoid doing two seasons (one for you, one for your partner), both of you need to win 9 races. When the 19th and final race is upon you, have one person quit out during the race while the other goes on to win. They will unlock the achievement. Next, the person who quit invites the person who won and they reverse the roles.
Credit goes to MadMassacre510 for this idea.
