How to unlock the Constructors' World Champion achievement in F1 2011 - Definitive Guide
In the Career mode, you have very little chance to win this during your first season. You start out with one of five teams (Williams, Virgin, Lotus, HRT and Force India) that earned a total of 74 Championship points during the 2011 season (Virgin, HRT, and Lotus all won zero points). You will be carrying your team by yourself. I won the Drivers' Championship with Lotus in my first year and finished 4th in the Constructors' race while my teammate earned zero points during the year. As you progress to the Drivers' Title, you will be offered contracts with better teams for next season. Take one. Preferably with Red Bull, McLaren or Ferrari.
I am presently in my second season, now racing for McLaren with Lewis Hamilton. We are well ahead of the pack after 7 races.
I would advise using your first season to obtain the Drivers' Title on Hard, while using your second season to obtain this achievement as well as It's The Driver Not The Car for winning the Drivers' Title with two different teams.
The Constructors' World Championship is based upon your teams total points. For example, if you win the first race and your teammate comes second, your Constructors total would be 43 (25 +18). In order to be awarded the Constructors' title, your team must be on top of the Constructors' table at the end of the season. I suggest setting the difficulty to easy and winning every race. Even if you have a terrible teammate, winning all the races should be enough for you to clinch the title.
If you're having trouble, try accepting a contract offer from Ferrari, Red Bull or McLaren, as those teams have some of the best drivers.
