How to unlock the Constructors' World Champion achievement in F1 2012 - Definitive Guide
Obviiously the best way to do ths is to win as many oints as possible throughout the season the problem tha you have is that you start off twith a slower car and therefore even though you will probably win most of oyur races your AI team mate will be very little help to you. In theory winning every race wil net you 500 points and that should be enough for you to win the construtors championship, however in my career McLaren were often finishing 2nd and 3rd this meant they were scoring 33 points to my 25 points, I needed help from my team mate and was ot getting it, with this in mind the only advice I can give you with this achievement is make sure you pick Williams as your team. I picked Force India and in the first 14 races Paul Di Resta scored one point, at the same stage Pastor Maldanado had scored 37 points, because I picked Force India in order to make sure I won this in the first season I resulted to taking the McLaren cars out of the race which was no fun and made things much harder and longer than they needed to be.
I am not sure if you have to complete the youg drivers test to unlock the right to choose Williams as your team in career.
I am also unsure as to the affect of changing team mid season so my advice is stay with Williams for your whole first season and follwo this guide to earn the achievement for changing teams mid season
UPDATE; If I had started with Williams I would have won the constructors at Korea (round 15) rather than Brazil ( Round 20) which is when I won it with Force India.
This trophy is quite a lot harder than the WDC trophy and is pretty difficult in any of the 6 teams you can choose to start with as your team-mate will score hardly any, if any, points for the constructors. You just have to win every race. To make things easier if you are 2nd/3rd with a few races left, crash out your main rivals in the Constructors' (probably McLaren as Hamilton seems to always do well). You'll probably get penalties, but make sure you build at least a 20 second lead and you'll still win the race.
Almost impossible to get on your first season unless you win everything and have a decent teammate like Maldonado who will contribute with a couple of points.
Though it dependes largely on luck on your first season, as you move to your second season and keep winning races you will be offered a contract with a solid team, in which you teammate does help out by putting points on the board. Save the rival challenge at the end of the season for a good team and move to that team so you can get this one.
