In order to have enough time in a single season, you will need to make sure you select and beat your rival over two consecutive races (thus winning the "best of three" battle as quickly as possible). After beating the rival over the two race period, you will be rewarded with a contract offer which you can view in your season challenge menu. Accept the offer and change team straight away. Select a rival from a different team and rinse and repeat, swapping team after every two races and you will have raced for five different teams in a single season by the end of a single Season Challenge.
Races 1+2: Team 1
Races 3+4: Team 2
Races 5+6: Team 3
Races 7+8: Team 4
Races 9+10: Team 5
To make it easier to beat a rival, you can set the difficulty to amateur, making the AI easier and giving you a better car.

You can get this trophy alongside the "Top of The Class" trophy. When you start Season Challenge you have the option of selecting a rival. Pick a driver in any team you know you can beat. Spend two races defeating you rival (best of three races) once you have defeated him, select another rival who is in a different team. Repeat this another 3 times and the trophy will pop at the end of the race once you're in your 5th team.

For this you will need also to win all rival challenges in two races, but unlike "Back to your roots" you will need to select 4 different teams. So it is impossible to get them both at the same season (unless you turn auto-save off).
