Choose
Multiplayer > Xbox Live > Custom Race > Create Session.
Race Settings :-
Participation = Race Only, Distance = 3 laps, Track Selection =
then F1 Classics - Jerez, Car Year Selection = 1980s (others your choice) 
Session Settings :-
Max Players = 2, Privacy = Private
Save/Load Host Settings :-
Save it so you don't have to keep setting it up
Then hit Create Session
Once in the game, invite the 2nd player. When the race starts the person not going for it just sits at the start line and doesn't move. The game will disqualify them for not racing and the laps will reduce from 3 to just 1. Complete the lap for the win and the achievement.

A Break from Testing
You have won an online race with a car from the Classic 80's at Jerez.
Go to Multiplayer, then online and either find or create a race at Jerez, you will be given a choice of cars within the settings menu classic or modern pick classic and then win one race, this can of course be boosted with a friend if needed, by setting the race to private.

For this trophy you will have to win an online race at Jerez with any one of these cars – Lotus 98T, Williams FW12, Lotus 100T, Ferrari F1-87/88C or the Williams FWO7B. You can do this by searching for online races at Jerez, or more efficiently you can boost with your Co-op Partner, by setting up a private lobby which allows you to have a race with just you and your partner. Here is how to set-up a lobby:
1. From the Main Menu go into 'Multiplayer' select 'Online' choose 'Custom Race' and select 'Create Session'.
2. Select 'Race Settings' and make sure it is set to:
- 'Race Only' and 3 laps distance
- Car Assignment: Player's Choice
- Track Selection: Jerez
- Car Selection: 1980s
3. Then go into 'Session Settings' and make sure it is set to 'Invite Only'. Then select 'Create Session'.
4. Once you are in the Lobby, invite your co-op buddy, then go into 'Car Preference' and select any of the cars. After you have done this, you are free to boost.
