How to unlock the Rule the Roost achievement in F1 2013 - Definitive Guide

You need to get 5 fastest Laps at the whole weekend.

In career choose "long race weekend" in the options. Also put the difficulty on "amateur" just to be sure.

1. Practise
In the game there is only one practise session - get the fastest lap and skip to the qualifying.

2. Qualifying 1
Get the fastest lap

3. Qualifying 2
Get the fastest lap

4. Qualifying 2
Get the fastest lap

5. The race
You also need the fastest Lap in the race. Your best chances are right after your pit-stop. Your car is a little lighter and your tyres are fresh. Keep an eye on the screen for another AI-Driver getting the fastest lap, then you should probably improve your time or restart the race.

At the Race-Results, you should get your achievement!

Glitchy achievement! I did the fastest lap in every session (practice, Q3, Q2, Q1, race) and win the race in 1st GP, no achievement angry

Didn't pop on the first race of the season but did pop on the second. Did not have to put distance at 100%, was at the minimum 25%.

The achievement description is incorrect. You have to get the fastest lap in practice and the qualifying sessions, but not in the race. You do have to win the race. Good luck!

Change the AI to easy and depending on your skill level this shouldn't be too hard. Just make sure at the end of each session you have set the fastest time. The best way to ensure this is to turn auto saving off and save mid session so you can load it up if you need to.

Got it at Malaysia. Seems the R&D objective had an effect on my fastest time perhaps?

Didn't pop for me at Australia either. Also got the news clippings and my emails after said it was my "second win" even though it was only the first race...?

Late reply here, but for anyone wondering how to change the AI difficulty, after selecting Career, go to Settings on the right and choose Difficulty. Scroll all the way down to see the options for AI Difficulty Level.

At some point during career mode you are going to have to endure a 'Long Weekend.' Target this at any track and before you 'Go to Session' go into the settings and make sure the distance is set to 'Long Race Weekend - Long Qualifying'. Then you will have to set the fastest time in: Free Practice, Qualifying 1, Qualifying 2, Qualifying 3 and for the race, you just have to win it, you do not need the fastest lap. Also make sure the weather is expected to be dry for the whole weekend, you don't want any complications if it were to rain, unless you are confident in wet conditions. You can check the weather forecast via your emails.

This can only be done in Career Mode. If you are in a slow car, then I would recommend doing this on Amateur Difficulty. I would also attempt this at a track that you enjoy, because it can be time consuming, so if you can do it around a circuit which you feel at ease with, then it will ensure that things run smoothly. When you are in the garage and you are just about to go out to set a lap time in either Qualifying or Free Practice, always opt for 'Flying Lap' as opposed to 'Drive Out'. The benefit of this is that it will skip the outlap and everything will be at optimum temperature.

Tip: When attempting the fastest laps during practice and qualifying, once you have set the lap and you are content with it, press to go into the Pause Menu, select 'Session Options' and there is an option which allows you to retire from that particular session - just remember not to do this for the race! Lastly, when setting your lap, make sure you are on Rich Fuel - Mix 3 and that you are running low fuel – which can be adjusted in the garage under 'Engine' when configuring your set-up.

To get a long weekend in career mode you have to select it in the race setting and then you will need to be the fastest car in Practice, Qualifying 1, Qualifying 2, Qualifying 3, and Fastest lap of the race.

I am not sure if you need to win the race, I did and if you set the fastest times in all of those sessions then you should be able to win anyway.

In Practice and qualifying rather than skip to the next session it is best to just accelerate tim by pressing .
