For casual / non-fans of F1, the constructors championship is a team table, which adds the total points of both drivers together.
If you're going for this achievement you will want to ignore any fan bias you have and just pick a Mercedes driver - either Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg.
You can play on any difficulty but be warned, picking other teams lower down in the pecking order make this achievement near enough impossible because your team mate simply won't get enough points. Ferrari might be ok but I can say from experience that Williams is not.
The achievement will be awarded at the end of the season for being top of the Constructors championship.

Yeah, if you are going to use anyone else, you have to make sure you finish 1st and they finish in the top 5 for the majority of races

Just thought id mention The aggressiveness of the top level AI. If youre playing on casual they tend to try some ridiculous overtaking moves sometimes, which usually end with them crashing.
Because of this I unexpectedly won the constructors on my first playthrough as McLaren. Jenson Button only scored 8 points the entire championship while I won every race as Alonso. Basically what im saying is if you hang back a bit instead of flying forward, you can make Hamilton for example crash out quite a lot by letting him attack you. If you come off worse, rewind the gameplay.
Worth a try if your say 10 races into the championship and don't intend to play another.

Like ‘Champion’, however for this you need to win the Constructors’ Championship in Championship Season. If you have already won the Drivers’ Championship driving for Mercedes, you will have no issues unlocking this as your team-mate (Hamilton or Rosberg) will almost always finish on the podium, netting you the points needed to win the Constructors’ Championship.
