How to unlock the It's All about Time achievement in F1 2015 - Definitive Guide
Just boot up time trial, pick whatever car you want, it doesn't really matter. Make sure you start your lap. stop the car. Plug your controller in and go do something else.
Sitting on the track will count toward the achievement. You don't have to be driving.
This will also help count towards the F1 Super Hero Achievement.
(personally I've actually put in lap times for these achievements, but can understand not everyone will want to do so)
Go to Time Trial and select Britain and use the WILLIAMS car. Put in 50 clean laps (no black and white flag against your time) and you will have clocked about 87minutes (if you average 1:40:00 per lap) and also unlock :-
Press the and under "Car and Track Selection" change the car to the SAUBER. Then do another 50 clean laps which you take you up to 174minutes total and you'll also unlock:-
-- and --
Then just do an additional 5 or 6 clean laps until your final achievement pops:-
If you mess a lap up, especially in the last few corners, it may be best to press and RESTART LAP. That will keep the lap number matching how many clean laps you've completed. That way, you don't lose track of how many dirty laps you've done and won't be doing 66 laps wondering if your achievement will ever pop!
You are better using Williams or Sauber to do Singapore laps and one clean lap at each circuit in time trial first.
Playing a season and working towards 50 online you will rack up plenty of time on Silverstone, so why do all this extra - just idiotic.
Worst case you do 50 laps in a Williams combined with other game modes will get you the 180 minutes at Silverstone.
All this guide does is waste 87 minutes of your life.
You must ensure that your controller and your PS4 doesn't turn off automatically.
You must go to power saving settings and turn auto off, to off for both your controller and your console.
- Start time trial
- choose great britain
- drive until the start line
- wait 3 hours
It is important to drive until the start line!
For this, you need to spend 180 minutes in total track time at Silverstone. Set up a full race weekend at Silverstone – 60 minutes of practice, full qualifying and a 100% race, setting the weather to clear as well. If you are going for the other trophies, set the AI difficulty to very easy as well. In practice, fully fuel your car in the setup menu and set your tyres to prime. Set as many laps as you can before the tyres go off, and then pit for new ones. Repeat this for the remainder of the session and you will reach about 55 minutes of track time. Use two sets of primes in Q1 and Q2, again driving for the whole of the 20/15 minutes (90), and set one flying lap on your options in Q3 to enable you to push on in the race. A race around Silverstone typically takes another 90 minutes so by now you should have reach your target time of 180 minutes – if not then set up another 60 minute practice session and drive around the track until the trophy unlocks.
Alternatively, if you want to leave your PS4 on for 3 hours, here is a method provided by Sir Slim of Jim which allows you to unlock the trophy without actually doing any driving:
I started a time trial session at silverstone, and parked up the car in the middle of the road. Turned TV off overnight whilst I went to sleep, and when I turned it back on in the morning, trophy had popped.
I would hazard a guess that the same applies to the 600 mins on track trophy, although that should pop during normal gameplay.
