Change the AI difficulty down to the Easiest or whichever setting you are comfortable on
Go into "Championship"
Make sure Practice is on.
Just put in a good lap. On easiest setting you should be well clear of everyone
The achievement popped for me at the end of Practice

All you need to do for this one is finish ahead of your team mate in a practice session. If you use the method detailed in ‘Grand Slam’, this one should be straightforward as all you need to do is set a valid lap time that is faster than your team-mate’s time in the 15 minutes allotted.
