How to unlock the The Final Countdown achievement in F1 2015 - Definitive Guide
First things first - don't bother grinding this achievement early on. You'll make a hefty chunk of progress towards it doing loads of other achievements in the game, so leaving it until last is probably the best idea.
Once you do come to this one, there's a nice method you can use so you don't actually have to drive every lap:
1. Load up a European track of your choice as a team of your choice. I advise Austria as it's nice and easy, and short.
2. Make sure Flashbacks are turned on and that Autosave is also on. Race distance doesn't matter.
3. Do one lap of the actual race. As soon as you've crossed the line (it doesn't have to be instantly, say within 5 seconds of crossing the line), pause it and create a mid-session save.
4. Restart the session. This puts you back on the grid at the start of the race.
5. Once the lights go out and the race starts pause the game and reload the previous mid-session save. Then, from a point before you cross the finishing line, resume the race.
6. Cross the finishing line, which will add a lap's worth of progress to this achievement.
Repeat steps 4-6. You don't need to create a new save after the initial one - just keep restarting the session and reloading the save, then crossing the finishing line in the race. It will still take a while, but it's far faster than doing all 500 laps needed.

works perfectly, and you can combine this with the "Putting in the Laps"-achievement for 200 laps is quick race. I also used this trick to do the "Super Monaco"-achievement...

This trophy will most likely be one of the last ones you earn. The trophy states that you need to drive 500 laps on European tracks in any game mode, so Quick Race, Time Trial, Multiplayer, Championship Season and Pro Season all count towards this. This one should naturally be earned during in-game trophy progression, though if it isn’t, set up a full practice, full qualifying and 100% race on the Austria track. Choose the Mercedes and drive clean laps around the circuit until the trophy unlocks. Repeat these steps again if it is not earned in the first race weekend.
