How to unlock the Itchy Feet achievement in F1 2016 - Definitive Guide

I did this on Pro Career. I took Red Bull Team. Max Verstappen as teammate. I skipped everything. I skipped Practice, Qualify and Retire from race ("Retire from session"). After round 6 / after race 6 (After Monaco) Your team is not happy with you and you are fired. You can now choose another team or retire. Of course choose the team you can pick and achievement is yours.

- you don't have to race at all.
- you need to skip only 6 races/rounds

(be aware that if you change team, you lose all of your resource points)

(Also make sure you start the race, if the race is not started you cannot choose "Retire from session", so just wait a few seconds until the red lights at the start go out and then you can press pause and retire from the session)

@Tendoman77 That I don't know. I know indeed of the previous games if you won your races after round 10 or 11 you get contract offers. I'm now doing another 'normal' career won all my races but no contract offers, so this is the only way I know how to get this one.

[Edit]
I also got contract offers during season. I got even two times a contract offer in a season. Mid season and almost at the end of the season.

So no more getting contracts to switch teams mid-season for doing well like in previous games then? Been worried if I'll lose all my resource points due to switching teams since I'm at round 6 winning every race so far and I haven't upgraded my Manor at all yet, wanna save them for one of the top teams and kill a few birds with one stone in the progress.

Just used this method (thanks BTW), and I can confirm you lose all of your Resource Points when you switch teams.

I was going for that achievement "complete a race in Pro Career" . So I wanted to do it on Austria. So I just skipped until Austria, but what I said, After round 6 (Monaco) I got fired and got me an offer from Renault Team.

I can confirm that you DO get contract offers around the time of the British or Hungarian GP, gotten a few from the mid-field teams. But now I know I will stick to Manor for the rest of the season because of what JohnGalt said, so thank you for that info at least.

Just curious but when you say you retired from race? I dont see it as an option til I cause terminal damage? Is that what you were doing or am I missing something?

Cheers

@BaronVonBrannan

Just make sure you start the race :), then press pause and you can "Retire from session".
If the lights are still red and you press pause, you won't indeed see it, so just wait a little more seconds, let the race start and then you can press pause immediately and retire :)

Hope this helps you out :)

Quickest way to end a race is to reverse at the start and get instantly black flagged and disqualified

It is quicker if you just press pause and retire.. why go in reverse and drive back? It is way faster just press start and quit. I tried it, but I didn't get black flagged immediately, all cars just drove by and I was still in reverse trying to get black flagged, so Just press start and quit, way faster.

(Missable - Only if you chose a top-tiered team at the start)

If you've chosen Mercedes at the start to make all the other trophies easier, then you won't get a contract offer from any other teams during your Career(s).

I would advise to leave this for another playthrough (making the AI easy) and picking one of the second-tiered teams. This way, you shouldn't have problems winning races while simulating them (although it's advised to race at least 1 lap though to be sure). Once you've accepted another contract, your Resource Points will go back to 0, and you will lose all the upgrades you currently have. Hence you should leave this trophy till last.

Please note that the improvements received on a car are not transferred to another car; there may be much less research there.

I advise you to start your career with an average team, and then go to a strong one (Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull), thereby continuing to win you can win the constructors' championship and get

the fastest way, definitely works on version 1.08
just in case, save the game save to the cloud (so as not to lose the accumulated improvements to the car).

career - professional career. We choose Redbull - Mac Verstappen. In the first practice we go straight to qualifying, skip qualifying, skip the warm-up lap of the race, exit the race. Then we repeat the procedure at each stage. After the third stage (China), we receive an official warning from the team. after the sixth stage (Monaco) it will be offered to either leave the championship or sign a contract with another team, I was offered Renault. We sign a new contract and receive a trophy.

average receipt time 25 minutes.
