How to unlock the Turning Things Around achievement in F1 2016 - Definitive Guide
I was crashed into by Max Verstappen in Melbourne which meant that I DNF'd and this put me into the ''Underachieving'' zone. From there, I managed to out-qualify and out-race my team-mate which pulled me back into the green.
If anyone wants to boost and get this out of the way I suggest crashing out of the first race so that you don't have to start losing races later in the season.
DNF the first race and then put in some solid races afterwards and you'll have this. I unlocked with the McLaren on Hard difficulty.
Update 18/09: A number of people are saying that this achievement is bugged. If you have followed the above steps and do not have the achievement check you are connected to Xbox Live and start a new career. Repeat the process and hopefully the achievement should pop.
Update 14/01: A few people are saying that this will only unlock when driving for McLaren. There seems to be a glitch within the game that prevents this from popping with teams such as Mercedes.
Update 13/02: Confirmed reports that this also works with Ferrari.
Update 21/10: Confirmed that this will only work with McLaren or Ferrari, will not unlock with other teams due to a glitch that has not yet been patched.
I used the soluce of BS1 Chr1z : Thank's
used ferrari, difficulty very easy
1. start a new career
2. melbourne training, qualifying and race - crash in every session
3. skip training in bahrain, get pole in qualifying , win the race
4. will pop
(Was going to put something up but you beat me too it haha)
However if you own the digital version or dont want to go through the effort of deleting the patch (data caps etc.) then do the following;
Delete your save and start a new career with McLaren (specifically McLaren as the trophy is glitched for other teams, you can also upload your old save to the cloud and download it back after getting the trophy).
Next retire from all sessions for the first track. (skip to quali for practice, and crash out for quali and the race)
Then at Bahrain, set the fastest lap in each practice session, get pole and win the race.
This should unlock the trophy, I previously tried with Ferrari, Mercedes and Manor and couldnt get this to unlock only with McLaren.
GLITCHED - As of patch 1.03 multiple people have been reporting this as glitched, so the only solution is to delete the game data, then decline the patches and earn the trophy before re-installing them. This only applies to players who have the retail version.
It's wise to do this on your first race of the season since you're only allowed 75% of the season in the purple if you want to get Overachiever .
For this trophy simply retire from the first three Practice sessions + Qualifying. This should put you in the red straight away. Then all you need to do now is simply get the fastest laps during the next 3 Practice sessions + gain pole, then win the race which should pull you out of the red zone.
We'll lose a couple of grand prix's in order to go into a complete loss.
In qualifying, we simply click leave the session, in the race we crash the car, exit the flashback to click leave the session. Then, at the optimal difficulty level for you, we win the qualifications and the race.
Please note: when draining, do not miss the INVINCIBLE trophy. It's better to knock out after receiving the last one.
The tips above didn't help. Maybe the hands are growing from the wrong place.
I was able to get it like this:
starting a new career for McLaren-Honda,
1st race in Melbourne, we miss 1-2-3 practices, we miss qualifying, we crash in the race.
2nd race Bahrain, we show the best time in all three practices, we win the qualifying round and the race, respectively.
After saving the game, the trophy dropped out.
