This will come naturally whilst working towards the R&D achievements in career mode. If however you want it in a hurry retire from all sessions at every race in career mode and it should pop after Abu Dhabi.

I've already completed one season and haven't got this achievement. I DNF'd in just one race (Monaco) after a crash, didn't simulate or retire from sessions.

This is done in Career Mode. Simply complete a full season of 20 races so without skipping any of them. Technically you can skip free practice and qualifying but if you're going for the Platinum, you don't want to do that because of the On the shoulders of giants trophy.
