How to unlock the Back up to speed achievement in F1 2017 - Definitive Guide

This is if you do it right, faster then the video solution. I have done this with "Red Bull Racing". I do not know if this is equal for Ferrari and Mercedes. At all other teams, the distance to red part of the Bar is longer, so takes longer to get.

This is very tight with Red Bull, so do exactly as told or you will dropped by the team after the Monaco race. Start Career and pick a difficulty where you can win races and take Pole Position where needed. It's up to you if you do the Practice sessions or not, but you can do all Career Achievements in 1 career save.

Australia drop out of both Qualify and Race.
China get Pole on Qualify and drop out of race.
Bahrain the same (Pole on Qualify and DNF race).
After this you get the notice from your manager the team is not happy.
From here you have to improve and get Pole Position and Finish First in races.
If you manage that in Russia and Spain, you will get it after the race in Spain.

For people who use other teams: You have to be in red but don't go to far in red otherwise you don't get back in green fast enough after warning. Qualify gives less points then races.

Did the same as Wingnut; used Mercedes and followed the instructions. Can also confirm you do get the warning after Bahrian if that's what he is refering to.

Text version:

> Choose McLaren or Sauber

> One-Shot Qualifying, 5 Laps, AI difficulty to 0

> Skip Practice sessions and go straight to Qualifying.

> Immediately crash the car in Qualifying

> Immediately crash the car in the Race, but avoid your team-mate when doing so.

> Repeat this process for every race until you get a cutscene with your manager about your performance (around the start of Canada).

> Get Pole Position and victory in every race following this message.

> 2 wins/poles should be enough to unlock the Achievement.

Excellent vid thanks very much! Don't try with Merc. After my contract warning, I qual on pole and won every race. After Monaco I got fired anyway because (I think) I didn't hit my Driver Standing target. Agree with 0 AI. Monaco is a bastard to win but to get fired immediately after sucked ass hugely :)

GLITCHED

This is done in Career Mode. In between races when you open your laptop you will see a graph stat indicating how your team feels about you. If you're performing in the red zone they're not happy with you, if it's green you're performing as expected and if it's purple you're overachieving.

For the purpose of this trophy you will need to be in the red zone first and then work your way up to the purple zone. Start a new career and pick a top tier team like Red Bull, Mercedes or Ferrari (other teams will work as well but the top tier teams will work faster). Now skip the first 2 to 4 races until your team rates you as underperforming (red zone). From here on out, go on and win races until you reach the purple zone and the trophy will pop.

This trophy can be quite temperamental in the sense that it sometimes doesn't pop when it should. If it doesn't you have no choice but to start again, though luckily it doesn't take long. For reference, I've tried this trophy the first time with McLaren and it didn't pop. The second time I did the exact same routine with Red Bull and the trophy popped right when it should.

You must fail the first two races of your career, and in the third, take pole and win - the trophy is yours

Not certainly in that way. You need to fail both the qualification and the race (by stupidly crashing the car). Do this twice. We win the third race and qualifying, but we won’t be able to get out of the red zone. We receive a message warning about bad results from the team. We win the fourth qualification and the race. The trophy is ours. BUT!! This scheme only works when you start your career. That is, while you are still the co-pilot.
