How to unlock the Every artist was first an amateur achievement in F1 2018 - Definitive Guide

Currently, this achievement is glitched and is unattainable. The achievement should unlock when you get a bronze, silver or gold trophy for online skill rating (Rank) which is only for doing 5 qualifying placement races.

I will update this when a patch has been released.

Okay a heads up. Must be done in one sitting of five races. I did 3 races and it reset then did 4 and the lobby crashed and rest. Finally did five races and it unlocked.

im silver at 1622 when you reach gold hope its not 2000 because it will require like 200 more race win

It's also glitched on PlayStation currently, nobody has unlocked it at all.

In theory you should get it right after your 5 Placement Races.

Unfortunately not, I will of course update this as soon as I know anything. Hoping the next patch 1.05 sorts this out.

Patch notes don’t mention this achievement/trophy as being fixed but it’s out tomorrow so fingers crossed!

Codemasters have claimed that version 1.05 (which will soon be available on Xbox) fixes this.

Just wondering, and it's probably a stupid question, but how will this be attainable for people who already have a skill rank? Or will it automatically pop when we enter a multiplayer lobby or complete a race and our current rank either increases or decreases?

In previous f1 games, fixed achievements unlocked when you booted up the game. Hopefully it's the same this time.

This achievement has been fixed with the 1.05 update. I got it after doing a ranked qualifying session. :3

Good to know it’s working now. Now I know I can complete the game. I just have this achievement and the achievement for 41 wins in career left.

FYI. You don't need to finish a race. One shot qualifying is good enough.

This is a crap achievement. It keeps resetting. Did 4 races and lobby crashed and when I went back in it had reset to zero.

At least I’m not the only with that issue. My rank has been reset on me twice. My dummy account has been reset once as well. I was expecting that I would probably have to do another 5 races again. I’ve got all other online achievements so in each race I can pause and let the A.I. do the race for me while I do something else.

To obtain this trophy you need to race 5 online ranked races for the game to determine your racing skill. After these 5 races you’ll automatically get a rating and this trophy should pop no matter what rating you get.

Glitch Note: This trophy was glitched and there was no way to obtain it when the game released. This got fixed in update 1.05 so make sure you run this or a higher version of the game to not experience this glitch.
