How to unlock the On your left achievement in F1 2018 - Definitive Guide

This can be done in any game mode where you can complete a "full" Qualifying session (which contains Q1, Q2 and Q3).

An easy way to do it however is through Grand Prix.

Pick whichever car/driver/track you like.

In the race settings, you can change a few to make things easier/quicker:

> Weather: Clear
> Race Length: 3 Laps
> Rules and Flags: Off
> AI Difficulty: 0 (Very Easy)

Make sure that Qualifying is set to "Full" so that you get your 3 Qualifying Sessions.

Once you begin and are in the garage, open up the control panel (where standings, settings etc. are located) and fast-forward time until the session is over. As you didn't set a qualifying time you'll have failed to make it past Q1 and will start the race at the back.

From there, complete the race and finish within the top 3 positions to unlock the Achievement.

Just attempted this in Grand Prix mode, full quali, crashed during the quali lap, then during the race, I restarted the race and it didn't pop for me.

The achievement will not pop if you retire from Qualifying, you have to complete the session for the achievement to unlock

i can triple confirm. I went for Kimi in Spain to get 2 achievements in one. Got myself DQ and that didn't work.

This solution doesn't work. Tried three times. Will try actually setting a time in Q1 and see if that works.

Accelerating through Q1 with no time and getting podium unlocked it for me. Also did it with Kimi in Spain.

Create a Grand Prix with the Full Qualifying length. The number of race laps can be as low as 3, but remember, you are going to be starting from the end, so you need to have enough laps based on your skill to be able to get into at least 3rd position. This is also easier if set to the lowest difficulty.

In Qualifying, you can't just retire from it. I put in a very slow lap, qualifying last (got 5 grid place penalty too for blocking another car) and fast-forwarding time to be knocked out in Q1 (meaning you were in the bottom 5 of drivers). You may be able to just fast-forward time and not even put in a time and this may also count.

Then, you need to do the race and get onto the podium, which means completing the race in at least 3rd position. Then after the race concludes and results are shown, the achievement will process.

This can be done in any race mode as long as you make sure you changed the default settings into a full qualification cycle. Once you get to the first qualification either set an extremely slow time or press and retire from the session to get eliminated. Continue on to complete the race and finish in third position or better to obtain this trophy.

We launch the Grand Prix, any track (ideally some short configuration), full three-segment qualification, minimum difficulty level, 3 laps in the race. In qualifying we drove one very slow lap and took last place. In the races we take a place on the podium.
At first I tried to simply skip the qualification without going to the track, they didn’t even give me a trophy.
