While driving during any Qualifying session, bring up the Multi Function Display with 
and set the ERS to "[5] (Hotlap)". With that done, start and complete an entire lap.
A "valid" Qualifying lap has similar requirements to Time Trial, so avoid doing the following:
> Putting 4 wheels off the track.
> Making heavy contact with the walls.
> Using Flashbacks.
> Invalidating the final corner(s) of the previous laps.

This trophy is basically unmissable since this mode will be the default mode in qualifying, so unless you lower the ERS deployment yourself there’s nothing to worry about. Simply complete a qualifying session without altering anything and the trophy will pop.
