How to unlock the Safety first achievement in F1 2018 - Definitive Guide
The first thing you need to do is race your 5 placement races which will determine your starting position. The cleaner you race the higher the rank.
Once you have done this and say for example you have a rating of 'B' you will be given a percentage which will increase and decrease after each race depending on your performance. Your target for this is to get this percentage to 100%, after hitting 100% you need to complete 2 more clean races consecutively in order to receive the 'A' rating. Once you have this start up another race and it should pop before/after Qualifying.
This achievement is hard as you can be crashed into and still be penalised so I would advise if you are just going for this achievement stay at the back of the pack and be careful.
Penalties, such as a drive through for a false start will decrease your score significantly so try not to get any of these.
This one could be quite difficult so my advice is to take it slow as the longer you go without any crashes/penalties your rating will increase.
Good luck
Just like with previous F1 titles, when you pause the game, the car will drive itself.
Cool thing is, at the end, your safety rating will still go up.
I went from 78% to 100% after 2 races.
Warning - Unlike previous F1 titles, your car won't be ghosted.
To obtain this trophy you need to race 5 online ranked races for the game to determine your Safety Rating. To get a better safety rating you’ll need to race as clean as possible which means not to making contact with objects or other drivers and staying on the track. Corner cutting is heavily penalized in regards to this trophy as well. If you raced fairly clean in your first 5 races you will get a B-rating first. In the subsequent races you’ll need to keep driving as clean as possible to get your rating up. Unfortunately the game sometimes will penalize you when others hit you or when you drive into someone unavoidably because they crashed right in front of you. Although I don’t want to advocate quitting behaviour, if you feel like you’re going to lose a lot of points after a race because of unfair coding you can close the application and start the game up again and still have the same rating as before you started that race.
