This will come naturally as you play through career.
Simply place 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any F1 career race (I believe you can do this in Grand Prix mode, too) and the achievement will pop.
If you are struggling, you can change the AI difficulty down in the menu that shows when loading a race.

To get the best chance of being on the podium in the first race in career mode (Or grand prix mode for that matter), turn the AI difficulty down to very easy or easy.
That will basically make the rest of the of the field look like this years Williams cars, enabling you to easily get 1st, 2nd or 3rd on your first time out.
