How to unlock the You Big Show Off! achievement in F1 2019 - Definitive Guide
From the menu start new career... do all your personal data preferences whatever you want it doesn't matter. When asked about participating in F2, DO NOT SKIP THIS FEEDER SERIES... the results from these series don't matter but Claire interviews you after all 3 of these races and you need to pick all the cocky and selfish responses so you can boost your ego bar by about 10% before starting F1. If by any chance you accidentally get Sportsmanship rating from the response, quickly Quit and Relaunch the game and when you start up your career again you should be back at the Interview.
After you've done with F2 now's time for the hard part the F1. Below are % chances I got Claire to interview me after doing each or some of these sessions:
-Practice session (~33% chance)
-Quali session (~50% chance)
-Race session (100% chance)
Now for the tricky bit... Claire will only interview when you actually participate/enter any session... She will never interview you if you simulate everything... however there's upside to this once you are in any practice, quali or race session you can just crash out or retire. Best part about this you can completely deplete your team's reputation and get fired as many times as you like, it won't matter. The slider will stay where you had it before being fired.
Some interview key phrases to look out for
"I'm the best"
"I'm here to win"
"I did this for the fans"
"I'm a little offended"
"Everyone is allowed one mistake"
"Maybe you should expect more" < when asked about smashing expectations
"He should watch where he's going" < when asked about contact with another driver
Occasionally Claire will ask you about R&D (these don't matter unless you want to make upgrades cheaper and it making it easier and faster to get "Seeing it Through to the End") and she will also ask you some hard/stupid questions where it either increases/damages your rep or your team's rep. The reason I said hard/stupid is because you are trying to go for Showmanship responses and avoid Sportsmanship ones, yet the answers she gives you are extremely similar in these scenarios.
At any rate you should NEVER pick any responses that would say good things about your TEAM... if all responses have word "TEAM" in them just press to No Comment.
Following all these points should get you the achievement at some point in Season 2. I got it in Singapore, but you may get it sooner as I accepted a few Sportsmanship responses and didn't reload. Good luck
Still a +1 !
This, along with Cool and Calm, will cost the most time in career this year. You can gain ratings from your answers in interviews that are held after practice sessions, qualifying sessions and races. These ratings positively or negatively impact your team, the development departments or your personal rating as a "sportsman" or "showman". Depending on which trophy you're going for, pick a team that either prefers you to be a "sportsman" or "showman" to not negatively impact your contact negotiations.
The amount of interviews during a race weekend varies from none to three but one or two interviews is the norm. Sometimes you will get an interview after a practice session but these always contain questions that will only impact your development department or team so feel free to skip or simulate the practice sessions. The interviews after the qualifying sessions and races are important though cause these can contain questions which will affect your personal rating. Generally if you want to go for "sportsman" like conduct you will have to praise other drivers (not the team, that will go towards team reputation), while "showman" like conduct means you have to take a dig at other drivers and praise only yourself. There aren’t many different questions so after a while you’ll figure out which answers to give.
To trigger questions that will give progress towards personal ratings, make sure that your “story” rivals Lukas and Devon make it on the podium alongside yourself. Claire the interviewer will always ask one to three questions about your rivals when they do. To achieve this, at the start of the race, block other drivers the likes of Hamilton, Vettel and Verstappen and then catch up with Lukas and/or Devon.
It will take a while to get the maximum rating (around two seasons if you use my method above) and I recommend doing this over 2 different careers for the two different ratings.
If by chance you answered the question incorrectly, immediately close the game, download it again and you will find yourself at the beginning of the interview.
so that there are a lot of questions about entertainment, let Lucas or Devon win the race.
If you started to knock out this trophy in a career where you have already leveled up in all seriousness, start a new career, it will be faster.
