How to unlock the Big Name Signing achievement in F1 2020 - Definitive Guide

Not much to say really however some big drivers have certain reqs of your facility's so make sure your upgrading these, then when you get nearer the end of the season try get keep some cash around 11-15m so you can negotiate their contract, and of course make sure the driver is level 15 or higher

Is there somehow a way to see what the requirements are we need to meet for each driver? you cant see them until the contract period is on.

Well here's an interesting dilemma. Just completed Spa 2/3rds of the way through the first season - at this point there is only ONE driver with an acclaim over 15 and it's been dropping steadily. By the end of the season, I'll have NO drivers left at 15 or higher, even if I had the money/facilities to hire them.

How do you hire them, i go to Driver Market and there's no option to sign them up, after my first season it just gave me the option to negotiate with the driver i first hired at start?

Seems driver requirements are also random, me and a friend had different requirements for the same driver.

Can anyone confirm whether this unlocks if your teammate reaches acclaim level 15 *after* you have hired them? I hired Daniel Ricciardo as a teammate and he is level 13, almost level 14 at present. Just wondering whether it is worth keeping him as a teammate at this stage.

UPDATE: It did not unlock when Ricciardo hit acclaim level 15, but it did when I renewed his contract halfway through season 2.

i hired hamilton whos acclaim at the time was 19 and the achievement didnt pop,no idea why

You can buy a driver with a lower level (I bought Riccardio level 13) he will be promoted to 15 level with time. After his contract expires, just renegotiate the contract and U get achivement🏆

The achievement didn't unlock when I signed a driver of level 15 or more, however it did unlock when I resigned a driver of level 15 or more. Seems to be a mistake in the achievement description. It never worked when I entered a bidding war for a driver on another team it only unlocked when I just signed my own guy

I negotiated a bid for a level 16 driver and it popped. the achievement description is correct ignore YalrishMick96's comment. Be on the safe side and go for 16 min rather than 15.

Once you have reached the end of season 1, 2, or part way (8-11 races when your partner's negotiation comes up), you can go to the drivers market to hire someone. It has to be someone with the acclaim 15 or higher (example: Lewis, Bottas, Max). When you view the stats of the player you want, press cn_X again to approach. From there it'll be straight forward to go along, if they accept that is.

Note that if you aim to unlock this at the end of a season, it must be before the 'end of the season' in red on the calendar.

Don't forget to improve the departments and the car. Some racers require level 15+ and require a strong car and developed infrastructure.

You can do it in the middle of the 2nd season. Don’t forget to upgrade your team and car to ensure that you meet all the conditions of one of the drivers who will have a reputation level of 15 by that time and with whom you are going to sign a contract.
