Achieve pole position after any qualifying session
How to unlock the On Top achievement in F1 22 - Definitive Guide
This achievement is earned for achieving pole position after any qualifying session.
To earn this achievement, you need to achieve pole position or, in other words, set the fastest lap time in any qualifying session. This can be done in either single player or multiplayer, but it's obviously much more easily done in single player.
You'll most likely get this at some point in career mode, but if you want to get it out of the way, fire up a solo grand prix. Choose Canada - Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve as the track (or any other "Easy" track you prefer) and then choose either Red Bull or Ferrari as your car. Before starting the race, go to Weekend Structure and use the below settings:
Weekend Structure - Standard
Practice Format - Off
Qualifying Format - Short (Or One Shot Qualifying if you feel confident)
Session Length - Short
The reason I list Short for qualifying as opposed to One Shot is because, as the name suggests, you only get one chance to qualify for pole in one shot qualifying. The short session is timed, so you can take a few laps if needed to set your best time, then head to the pits and speed up time to make the session go faster. After this, go to Simulation Settings and set the AI difficulty all the way to 0 (furthest to the left). Feel free to enable/disable any other assists or settings you'd like. Once you're ready, you can start the weekend.
Proceed through qualifying now. If you make a mistake, use flashbacks with . When qualifying is done, if you have the best time, you'll unlock your achievement.
