if you have a dual setup and a second/boosting/dummy account and controller, this can be pretty quick to obtain, without the need for a second person. make sure the second xbox is set as your home xbox so the other account can have access to the game if purchased digitally.

from the start, to Career and select Two Player Career.

select Contracts - Full Season.

customise your settings - it will be easier with One-Shot Qualifying enabled and if AI is set to 0.

invite your second account or skip (you can invite later) choose your character and team, then start the career.

i had my second account in a ferrari while i choose a williams.

head to qualifying - pause the second account when on track and the AI will take over. grab pole with your main account.

start the race - i raced for a lap and a bit at Bahrain, giving me a very good lead. i then paused, and grabbed the second controller and did a lap to get away from the pack, then paused. i returned to my main and finished in first, keeping an eye out for the second account making sure it stays in second place.

if you finish 1st and 2nd, the achievement will unlock, and if this was your first TP race, you will also unlock "Better Together".

obviously, this defeats the purpose of racing with someone, but it is meant as an alternate method.
