TL;DR - you can use Flashback to slot into the same grid spot 10 times and knock this out quickly. Achievement Tracker works. Use it to see progress increase.
The Setup
1. Only tested this in Grand Prix. Other game modes may work.
2. Only tested this on F1 cars. Don't know if F2 behaves the same way.
3. Any track (Austria is quickest)/team/driver.
4. Weekend Structure > Practice/Qualifying > up to you (fastest to have both Off)
5. Weekend Structure > Session Length > Medium, Long, or Full
6. Rules & Flags > Formation Lap > On
7. Rules & Flags > Formation Lap Experience > Immersive
8. Simulation Settings > Recovery Mode > Flashbacks
9. Simulation Settings > Flashback Limit > Unlimited
10. Start Event
The Event
1. Once released on the formation lap, you can speed back around. Even if you aren't starting first, you can pass all the other cars without penalty instead of having to stay behind them.
2. When you get back on the start straight, you will see your grid box hologram. Slow down and pull up to it.
3. You can stop when you see it change to green or purple.
4. After stopping, press your button for Flashback (
by default).
5. You can fast forward (
) to just before stopping in the grid box and press 
to resume.
6. Stop in the grid box again.
7. Rinse and repeat.
8. Get 30 GS!
