How to unlock the The Property Magnate achievement in Fable II - Definitive Guide

I found that the easiest way to do this is to find a house that has a few trophy spots hanging on the walls. I found one in Old Town with two trophy spots and I put Thag's Head and the Shard Shard trophies on the walls and it near tripled in price from 7k to 21k. Once you sell the house simply buy it back and remove the trophies to add them back to your inventory.

Reabo made a video and linked it in the comments below -

Worked perfectly and so much easier than messing around with 5* furniture. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip! Worked great using the Shard Shard and Spire necklace. 7k to 21k immediately. I was having no luck with 5 star furniture, so thanks again!

I agree...the best and fastest of all solutions. I just would like to add some simple info.
1 The Dark Mark home is a good place and it costs between 5 to 6k.
2 You have to enter redecorate mode.
3 The place where you put your trophy is this wood board (plank) in the wall.
You have thumbs up from me Groux.

for anyone wondering, the dark mark is basically straight ahead and to the left when you enter old town from bowerstone market.

Great solution. I ended up using the Crucible Trophy and Temple of Light Seal, as the other trophies didn’t raise the value enough, but those two together did the trick. This is also a good way to quickly gain currency. After you’ve sold the house, just break down the door (only need to do this once), retrieve your trophies, and repeat the process as many times as desired.

Find a cheap house that has a low decoration cost, there are lots in the Bowerstone Marketplace. Purchase the house and then redecorate with as many 4 and 5 star pieces of furniture as possible. Sell it. If you don't get the achievement, try again using only 5 star furniture.

The places to buy furniture are in the Bowerstone Marketplace and in Bloodstone (Thanks to Akalabeth on informing me of the latter). If you need more furniture after buying all she had, sleep for a week and her stocks should replenish.

Also, there may be glitches involved in the furniture stores. Check the comments for details.

Actually there is another furniture store in Bloodstone... it is the last building on the right before you get to Reaver's house.

There is a bug which may prevent people from buying furniture. If the area has a 5 star economy, the furniture store stops selling furniture.

It is possible to lower the economy by going on a crime spree (like murdering a load of innocents), but if you're trying to play a good character, that might not be so easy.

the house beside the pub in the first town is a good option, you can add a trophy on the wall of the stairs which can boost the price a few thousand. then buy the house back and take the trophy back

You can also buy a house, fill it with 1 and 2 star furniture to LOWER the value. Sell it, then buy it back at the now low value and follow Seraphim Needed's directions.

I had a difficult time finding a house that this would work on, but the fable wikia helped me:

"Find the house in Bowerstone Market named Wraithlodge (It is the first house on the right, up the stairs when you are heading towards Bowerstone Old Town). It is a one-star rated house and is bought fairly cheap compared to most houses you can purchase in Bowerstone."
source: http://fable.wikia.com/wiki/The_Property_Magnate

I already owned it and had updated some of the furniture, so i just redecorated with 1-2 star items before selling. Then rebought and redecorated with luxury items and sold again. Chievo popped.

Buy the "dark mark" house (old town), put two trophies in it in redecorate mode, sell. Done. Easy as pie, just not quite as delicious

Don't worry about the decoration rating. Seriously. Just buy a house with a lot of furniture and a low property value. The low property value is because we want the furniture to have a large effect on the over-all value.
Now replace all of the furniture with ONE-star furniture and sell the house.
Now buy the house again.
Replace the ONE-star furniture with FIVE-star furniture.
Now, sell the house and get the Achievement.

Bowerstone Marketplace. Christine's house. It the last house on the left going to Old Town Bowerstone. The house has almost 2 of everything. Replace all the furniture items with Luxury items.

Also, what helps is having a high town economy and relatively low rent. The value of the homes go up.

Really simple, Just buy the first house you see in Old Town it's called ''The Knuckles'' fill it up with some 4 or 5 star furniture. Sell it and the achievement will pop up!

This achievement is really overthought by most people. when in fact it is incredibly easy to get.

The house that is directly to the left of the tavern in Bowerstone market is your first and best option. Purchase it and with any left over cash, go buy 5 star furniture and redecorate.

Run around and do a few sidequests to get extra cash to get as much 5 star furniture and fill it.

Once it is full of furniture, DONT sell it. Go complete as many quests as possible. I waited till after I had returned from the spire. You also need renown before it will sell for double.

any extra gems or items you get sell them IN BOWERSTONE to keep the town economy up. this also adds to the value of the house.

Its not an achievement that you will get right away but rather one that you can start at the beginning of the game and just come back to it later.

Really easy to do. Buy a cheap house in bowerstone market and change all the furniture to 5 star luxuary furniture. Also put trophys on the wall.

Also to help, buy other houses and shops in the town to increase the revanue. Then sell your house. Should work for you. It did me.

If you wish to leave negative feedback then please give me reasons why before you do so.

Choose a property early on, Buy it and then fill it with as much 5 star furniture as possible. Once the house has been filled up. Play the game, do quests to improve your renown and buy stuff from around town to improve the revenue and richness of the area. Then, go back and sell.

I found this was easier to do in Bloodstone because the house are generally 8k with lot of 2 star furniture, changing everything to 5 star furniture is a sure fire way to get this achievement.

By far the easiest way to do this is buy some luxury furniture from bowerstone and then purchase the house of viper in bloodstone. Put a few pieces in and you have done it.
