How to unlock the Magnate Personality achievement in Fable III - Definitive Guide
This is actually a pretty easy achievement, but here's a few tips to help you on your way.
1) Above all else: "Buy early, buy often."
2) This is another achievement that pays to plan for. Start off small, buying up cheap homes (Dweller Camp is great.) and buy more properties as soon as you have funds available.
3) Buy up all of the furniture/fixtures/decorations that you can, and have Jasper "Fix Up" as many of the houses as possible.
4) Unlock the Entrepreneur Pack in "The Road to Rule" as soon as possible! Shops may cost more to purchase, but will net you more gold in the end... plus, you don't need to do repairs on shops.
Buying real estate is one of the best ways to get ahead in the game, as it will provide an EXCELLENT cash flow for you when you become King/Queen, and allow you to keep more of your promises without bankrupting Albion.

Just buy as much as you can. Quite simple really. When you are crowned King/Queen, you get the castle which adds about 1.4mil to your total.

Totally agree. The castle put me over the mark too. Save up and buy shops because they're steady income and you don't have to pay for maintenance.

You can get this without owning the castle. If you buy up everything you can, Dweller Camp, Brightwall village, Mourningwood, Bowerstone (all areas) you should have no problem.
The easiest thing to do is keep rent normal, but for shops jack it up to highest. The more expensive shops will yield more income, which will make it easier for you to continue buying property and maintaining repairs. This was what I did and I currently have 2,139,194 real estate value, without owning the castle.

Really easy, it's just a long achivement. Buy every house or shops you can after having unlock the skill on the road to the power.
Begin at the Dwellers location because it's cheaper there but it's good way to begin to earn some money.
Be careful, sometimes you have to repair the houses, if not, you won't earn anything !

I did this really easy. be warned, you have to be prepared to do one evil deed late on in the game for this method.
I didn't buy anything until late in the game, after becoming ruler. Bowerstone castle is worth well over half your necessary investment.
As ruler, you'll do a mission fairly early in your reign where you need to fetch a diamond from aurora. Fetch it, and when given the option, choose the evil option and keep the money. Then spend the 700,000 as you wish on property, you'll get it eventually. I bought every property in brightwall, before moving on to bowerstone market and the achievement popped halfway through buying all market property.

Easily enough at the the start of being king/queen just buy the houses in the brightwall village and work up to buying all houses in bowerstone industrial which will equal to above 2 mil but aswell the castle gives a plus 1.5 mil.
I can make this really simple. So simple, in fact, you don't need to buy anything until after the fight for Albion OR worry about how much money you have.
1. Become ruler of Albion.
2. Go to the Demon Door at the Sunset House. Open the chest and get $1,000,000.
3. Go to the map in the Sanctuary and start buying businesses. Eventually the achievement will pop.
Easy peasy.
