How to unlock the The Dark Sanctum achievement in Fable III - Definitive Guide

You have to do a series of quest for Lesley.

1. Peace, Love, Homicide - requires you to kill Rhys (Is located in the caravan settlement in Mourningwood).
2. Excavation - Donate 5000G.
3. Awakening - Clear the temple of enemies.
4. Leverage - Fight your way to the tomb that holds the lever and bring it back to Lesley.

Achievement should unlock once you give Lesley the lever.

Should be available to you sometime after you do the main story quest at the Mourningwood Fort.

Note: you can get this achievement if you are with a player who is on the last quest (leverage) and watch them complete it.

Does anyone know if you can get the little cross behind the rubble in the room where you get the lever?

the leverage quest appears after you kill the guy in the cell in Bowerstone market. He should be the second person you need to kill

Does this quest lower your morality? I'm trying to be as good as possible and I'm not sure if this would lower your moral standing as this sort of thing would have done in Fable 2.

If I beat the game can I go back and do this...

@Droowid, it really didn't do anything significant so far to my morality. I just completed the quest line and got the achievement, and my morality has remained virtually unaffected. It slightly (and by slightly, I mean by a point or two) dropped when I murdered Rhys but I didn't even get approached by the guard or anything, even though I committed a crime. I cannot answer your question if you are referring to long-term morality, because I have not gotten that far in the story yet. If choosing to reinstate the dark tower has long term negative effects, I will let you know, but I doubt it will be too serious. The people in the tower are small-time cannibals, not working toward a grand, evil scheme that will affect the entire region.

I have already beaten the game and went back and did the Awakening quest. However, now the Leverage quest is not appearing. Any thoughts?

* note.

After completing a quest, go to sleep, till morning, once you wake up in the morning the new quest is available, you have to give it time for progress to go forward in the excavation site.

hope this helps :)

I keep on running into a invisible wall after the very beginning when you have to step on the arrows to move froward. Any idea why it won't let me continue on?

I fully realize that I'm posting an update here for comments left in 2011, but it's for people such as my geekie self, who actually missed this funny little gem back in those days.

OK, to partially, and actually attempt to, answer one of the questions from so far back in time, and yet in thisthread and regarding the melee action disc to the north east corner of the sarcophagus room: The debris that is surrounding the impact disc hasn't been removed by the dumb-ass digger crew that you hired at the beginning of this funny side-sode.

I sort of figured it out after getting SO pissed off that I didn't get an option to knock Lesley's teeth in and get the keys jack before he fried the poor damsel, so I swore revenge for her. Bassically, what I'm doing is just continuing on after bringing the key back to Ass-head.

So, after foolishly just giving the keys back to this poser, which you have to do to resolve the mission, you watch him fry an innocent, and claim he's going open up a restaurant for human Barbie-Q, which, if what I'm told is true you wait a short while after having a night's rest, and the next part of the mission should trigger, and pardon my spoiler to here, but it's 2023+, so get over it, you come to learn that there may actially be some substance to Lesley wack-jobs theories. He actually Does set up shop and start and pieing up Albion's friends and neighbours for severely psychotic, high-end, masquerading gastro-pretenous, immortality seekers .... Who are .. Well, in MY particular sanctum anyway, are all lying in bloody bloody piles of now very dead rich asshole, and let me tell you, from my perspective anyway .. You recall when I mentioned, about a minute ago that I was a little ... Disappointed at the closing of the mission? Well, I rashly sprinted back, with true vengeance in my heart. so would you please magine my surprise when I come to see ... party-goers enjoying the themselves and discussing their new-found way of life between themselves, and me ... Directly in front of the caged children and adults, who are simply waiting for their inevitable metamorphosis into a benefit-Indusing baked pastry!

Now, please imagine how utterly satisfying it was to see in one I stance, those disgusting smirks, and then in the very next moment, bits of hamburgerd elitist and brightly coloured rags flying through the air.

Was it worth ruining for me the way the mission is supposed to wrap, and maybe missing the achievement this time through?

OH, you betcha. With relish!

One last thought .. No DOUBT at some point during your game-play, you adopted, or indeed sired a fable-spawn who, for whatever reason, which we will never speak of, you prayed for the game to develop child-eating sharks ...

On my way back to the sanctum, bearing in mind the apparatus I just watched in motion, I stopped by a village to ask the company of one of my Fable offspring, who, through her efforts to never be satisfied, and endlessly, and rudely, badgering me into a smouldering insanity, became the sole, unequalled candidate for a quick experiment, whose result I was breathless to learn ...

.... but not before I made her witness every horror I could think to visit upon those pie-eating wretched soles.

I know that screams are NOT music, no ladies and gentleman, et al., but on a few occasions, they mught resemble one another.

Ta slanes solution is great but would like to add that when you have completed the game, peace, love and homicide will be on your available quest list which you access through the map in the sanctuary room by pressing Y. When you have completed peace, love and homicide, move on to something else to allow time for the second part to become available. After a while you will get the compass alert notififying you that the second part, Excavation is now ready to play. The same counts then for Awakening and Leverage. good luck
