If you choose all the good options you leave your treasury with a defecit of -2,400,000 gold. Meaning you need a total of 8,900,000 gold of your personal gold to gain the achievement.
If you choose all evil options you will have 3,950,000 gold in the treasury after all is said and done meaning you need 2,550,000 of personal gold to gain the achievement.
Keep in mind the gold you need to transfer into the treasury MUST be transferred before you decide on Protection for Aurora. It reads on load screen as 121 Days Until Attack but this is the last opportunity to get the gold you need in. So depending on if you went all good or all evil (or somewhere in between) make sure you go to the treasury prior to ruling on Protection for Aurora and Fate of Mistpeak and transfer whatever you need to reach the 6,500,000 gold from the personal gold part of the treasury ledger.
A great source of income is going to the Demon Door in Sunset House after you have become King or Queen. The reward is 1,000,000 gold. If you have managed to collect all 50 silver keys you can unlock the chest at the Bowerstone Castle for 2,000,000 gold. Other than that upgrade your job skills in Road to Rule to level 5 and work work work.
You can also get the Corronation Chicken achievement if you wear the chicken outfit you can aquire by buying or completing the Chicken Chaser quest during one of your rulings.

Alternatively you could buy up a tonne of Real Estate and just leave the game on overnight (with a wired controller, or the rubberband trick to make your hero run in circles)

Great guide.
However - you can't get the 50 silver key chest at Bowerstone Castle open until after you finish the main story - since you can't get the two keys in Dankwater Cavern without doing the 'Hobnobbing with Hobbes' quest, and this doesn't appear until after you finish the main story (at least it didn't in my game).
Other than that, rent and business profits are the way to do this, buying every single property in the game will get you income of circa $100k every 5 minutes (hike the prices at the pawnshops and bars to boost this a bit). So buy up as much as you can as early as you can, basically.

Im sure people are aware of this already but heres some help:
Once you Become King or Queen, you"ll have choices to make. If you decide to be all good it will be harder to save all 6.5 million people but it is possible.
1. Make sure from early on in game you do some jobs to earn money. I found it easy to be a pie maker in Brightwall Village. Saved some money and started buying homes to rent in Dwellers Camp.
2. With Rent coming in, continue to buy up as much property as you can. Dont waste it on weapons or potions as you will dig them up or find in treasure chests.
3. I started with Dwellers Camp then moved on Brightwall Village, Bowerstone Industrial, and Bowerstone Market.
4. Buy up the houses first then move onto the blacksmiths and pubs. you have more income coming in buying all the cheap stuff first, then dumping a large amount on stores.
5. Once you are King or Queen there is a demon door in the Sunset house area ( access through mourningwood ) that has a 1,000,000 gold for the new ruler of Albion.
6. Once the " Meet The Wealthy Patron In Millfields " is available STOP. DO NOT DO THIS QUEST. FROM THIS POINT ON THERE IS NO RETURN TO EARN MORE MONEY.
7. Start doing other side quests and collecting rent . At this point the best thing to own is pawn shops. You can roam and collect as long as you need. As long as you dont start " Meet The Wealthy Patron In Millfields ".
8. you will need to have 8.5 MILLION in gold in personal funds to get the " Tough Love " 10 point Achievement.
Have Fun. .. it can be done... If you need Help send me a FR

I agree with the STOP...
I now have to beat the game again for 10 measely gamerpoints. It goes from like 228 days remaining to ~100 days remaining to 0.

Thanks for the tip to not do the wealthy patron quest.

The easiest way I found to do this is. Let your character sit as king anywhere and let time go by, you will create gold from the businesses you own, then purchase more, continue purchasing all the property possible and then just leave you character AFK for an entire night, you will wake up finding around 10 million gold. Ding ding. Just don't do all the tasks until you have more then enough money, no time goes by until you do some of the agenda for the day as the king.
Some of you may already be aware of this, but just to bring it up to those who don't know...
If you are having trouble amassing that ridiculous amount of gold but still need this achievement, just have a friend do it! Yep. As long as they have the correct amount of money and you join their game BEFORE they decide on the protection of Aurora (121 days remaining), sit through it for a bit and the achievement will pop for you too!
I know that this works because I just did this last night. I hope this helps some of you!

It doesn't matter what decisions you pick, you just need to have 6.5 million gold in the treasury after your last decision. Either way, you'll also need to donate money to have enough. I recommend buying buildings and earning rent until you have 10 million gold before you defeat Logan. That's enough to cover any combination of choices.
