How to unlock the We Can Be Heroes achievement in Fable III - Definitive Guide

An easy way to get this is to use a dummy profile and play local co-op. I'm not sure how far you need to get in the game to be able to join with your main profile (EDIT: Seems like you are able to do it right off the bat.) but I had a 2nd account that I played up to where you are able to free roam Brightwall Village.

Start up the game with your 2nd profile, when you're in the game, press start on the controller tied to you your main profile. Make sure you're using wired controllers or connected recharge cables, now just leave your game on and the achievement will unlock after a little bit more than 2.5 hours.

You get 10 gold for every 5min the first 2 hours. After that you start getting 100 gold every 5min, that's why it's good to do all these in one sitting.

Please note that this might not unlock right away at 1000 gold, it unlocked after around 1200 gold for me.

Edit: As stated in the comments below, it seems you will gain money at a faster rate if you actively play the game in local co-op.

I was able to join in local co-op with someone who had just gotten the guild seal while escaping the castle. I couldn't use my sword or gun until the host was able to, though.

i found this out when playing! when just standing there doing nothing = 10 gold every 5, when killing guards and resisting arrest = 100 gold every 5! worked for me perfect, i also did the ''Crime Spree'' achievement at the same time in the dummy profile game!

Kiling guards and resisting arrest didn't work for me, I was still getting 10 gold every 5 minutes. :( I guess that I'll have to spend a few hours in co-op to get this one.

Does anyone know if they achievement has to be done in a single session with a single player or if it accumulates over multiple sessions?

It counts over all co-op sessions where you play as the guest.

I think the amount of money changes depending on whether the primary player is actively doing a major quest or not. I watched someone get minor quests (mostly friendship quests) and +10 gold. Managed to help someone go through the dark caves and was racking up +100 every ten minutes.

I think it´s glitched for me, didn´t get any gold for standing around. When i worked in the others world (making cakes) i get over 20,000 gold but the achievement didn´t pop up

Ribeseel, gold you earn while doing jobs doesn't count towards the achievement. Henchman wages are a fixed rate of gold that you receive every 5 minutes when accompaning someone else's game. You'll see +X ammount of gold pop up now and then at the top of the screen. This gold is what counts towards the achievement.

I just wanted to confirm that you can get this right in the beginning. I used my second account to play about 10 minutes into the game (where walter asks you to pick a weapon for training), and joined with my main account.... I let the game sit there with play-n-charge kits and I got the achievement a couple hours later.

I think the amount of gold per 5 minutes goes up when you're with the same player for a while, like a time multiplyer.

Looking to get this achievement, aswell as the others requiring a xbox live partner and the 'We Need Guns, Lots Of Guns' achievement. I also have every clothing for the 'Fashion Victim' achievement, plus my character is male if that helps. Hit me up, my GT is Jallyward

Is there a way to see how much you've made in henchmen wages? I went through all the stats and didn't see it. Is there a different place I should be looking, or am I just overlooking it?

For anyone wondering, if you go into sanctuary and go to the treasure room the ledger on the stand in front of the pile of gold shows your last 9-10 transactions.

This achievement is a pain I did the offline thing way making money, went to bed. As soon as I woke up I noticed my Xbox one was off and it screwed me over. By the way the cloud in this game is horrendous I lost my good save due to trying this just to give people a heads up

Be careful doing this locally. My achievement helper gamertag had its save overwritten by my main gamertag while doing the co-op demon door. I ended up doing this achievement with the accidentally created clone, so even if something funky did happen then I just replaced myself with myself. It might be a good idea to intentionally clone your good save over your 2nd account's save before making your main a henchman, since becoming a local co-op partner seems to have a 75%-ish chance of becoming a clone of the player you join. If you save the game as a clone, it sticks/your game save is now the game save of the co-op leader. This glitch could also act favorably - if multiple people make clone gamertags they could send gifts from them to other people's mains, allowing for weapon trading with everyone keeping their weapons on their mains.

My main gamertag also had all the tutorial prompts/dialogue reset and replay all over the place afterwards. One prompt told me that a house in the city of "%1" wasn't paying rent. Co-op seems to be a possible path to corrupt/ruined saves. Nothing bad happened to me, but data is being messed around somewhere for a message like that to appear. Save co-op stuff for the very end.

I need this one, plus the “We Need Guns, Lots Of Guns”, “Kaboom” and the 'Fashion Victim' achievement. (I have the female character and only need three more clothing items to complete that one) I've completed all the quest, and willing to help others where possible. Hit me up here.
