How to unlock the Armageddon achievement in Faeria - Definitive Guide
This one was fairly tricky. One thing they leave out of the description is, you have to nail 5 of the computer's creatures, which does make it infinitely harder. A)To allow them to have 5 creatures on board, B)to live long enough to Meteor.
As the deck construction achievements don't work in practice, we did this on a wild mission, specifically, I waited for a Sharra mission, as her neutral creatures aren't grossly offensive.
The plan is to have a bunch of creatures lie around that are borderline worthless, then just outlast them. I am unsure if you actually have to win the game to pop the achievement. I did on accident by killing the computer with fatigue one turn before I was going to as this is not a deck designed to win. If you confirm whether or not a win is required, that would be grand.
The basic decklist:
1 x Time of Legends
3 x Shimmering Statue
3 x The Emperor's Command
3 x Healing Song
1 x Laya, Lady of Sorrow
3 x Tower of Curses (MVP)
1 x Gagana, Rainbow Birdship
3 x Gabrian Enchantment
3 x Humbling Vision
3 x Water Elemental
3 x Frogify (Frogging a large creature, then tower cursing it once is fairly high-tech here)
2 x Meteor
1 x ???? (I originally tried Rapala here, thinking it would induce the AI to play stupid fish and make for easier Meteor targets. Instead, it just held on to them forever, so I don't think Rap's a great choice here, so feel free to add whichever card you think ill help you stall)
Through various measures, you want to get as many creatures down to 0 or 1 power and then just make lands every turn (4 water first, then fire), and if you can't get to 5 fire, you have the Birdship to make Meteor wild. I would open with the land to your right or left then fan out to the edge. You want the computer to have land near you for once, and you want your statues removed from the action, so try and keep them to the sides and away from the riff-raff. Once you get a gaggle of computer creatures around you (mine huddled around my orb, but there was a small congregation in the northwest) Meteor away. As Shanna plays Healing Songs and Village elders, it is possible to deck them for the win, or maybe sneak in the last couple points with your Gagana/crewmember. But, I don't believe it's required to win, just finish the game.
