Hey does anyone know if “previously owning the game” counts if I downloaded it when it was free on PS4 back in like 2020? I didn’t get a free season pass either. I bought it already, but maybe I can get some free show bucks or something lol

Mentioned it in my last comment, I think you had to log in at least once between the announcement and the launch of the f2p update

This one isn’t actually pay-to-earn, it’s just gonna take a LONG time. Looks like you can get 300-400 show bucks with each free season, if you hit level 100.

I’ve seen a celebration in the shop recently for either 800 or 900, so at the end of the third free to play season, you should be able to afford one.

So…half a year or so, free to play.

If that’s the amount of time you need to play to unlock it. Then it’s basically pay to unlock

Still hoping it will be part of an event reward. According to the wiki there are some punch lines to come this season. Hopefully not only in the store with paid ingame currency

Might as well just get it in a season pass with saved up showbucks if you intend to keep playing it at all. You basically have enough for it anyways by the time you save up the 800-1200 to buy one from the shop. If you dont intend to keep playing, then if you can find one for 800 youd shave a couple months off the completion. Ive only seen one for 1200, in which case season pass is the better option anyways. Hopefully they put some out for cheaper, or for kudos.

There were two celebrations available for 700 showbucky earlier this season according to the wiki. Cheaper than the season pass.
Other than that, you are right. When planning to play the game for some time, it's better to buy the season pass once we have earned ehough showbucks.

hmm ive seen twice a celebration on sale in the store for 1000 ShowBucks.
Ive completed the season to get 300 for free but took playing everyday nearly for several wks, but only put in a couple each day.
Really wonder if they would put on for Kudos (purple) tokens, or if they did theyd be pretty expensive.
I imagine everyones spending the kudos daily on Titles to get the 50 purchases anyway?

Only other hope is if they screw up again & give a Celebration away as a apology, just like the Legendary skin

Ive heard of celebrations costing 8k kudos before season 1, but since we haven't seen any in season 1 who knows if we will ever see them again. The new season is in like 9 days so hopefully season 2 has 1 in the free season pass.
EDIT: there has been leaks on season 2 and apparently theres going to be a celebration at level 5 next season pass, and level 5 was free this season so fingers crossed.

It would take you about a year to do for free but it is possible. You can get 300 showbucks each season as a free player by completing the free rewards section of the season pass. Not so much pay to win, more like pay to speed things along.

locking an achievement behind a paywall isnt very fair

I don't mind spending 4 Euro on a game i already 60 hours and probably will still play after completing it. I (and i would bet you also) spent money on way worse non-free games in the past

Maybe it was a special occasion but there was a celebration for 500 show bucks in the store the other day.

Definitely easily doable by just collecting the free 300 show bucks each season.

I got 700, just have to wait until one drop in shop now...

Probably a dumb question, but do duos or squad wins also count for this achievement? Or do the wins with the punchline have to be earnt in solo play?

I know people are mad about this one but the fact that Fall Guys provides so much playable content and it's very enjoyable and it's all for free--makes it a little more palatable to spend a few dollars to get the season pass to get this achievement+

Does it count if it says "Victory Emote"? There is one in the shop for 700 showbucks and it looks similar enough.

With season 4 being made up of several smaller "fame passes" this should be achievable even to a brand new player within 4 to 5 months without having to spend any money. Each fame pass lasts for around 6 weeks and if the first two are anything to go by they each give 2x 100 Showbucks rewards for free - the first being available early on and the other towards the "end" (level 40, although after that you can continue to earn crown shards, but the proper content of each pass dries up at level 40). So after 3 of these smaller passes you could have 600 Showbucks, and very early into the 4th pass you could have 700, which seems to be the going rate for a custom celebration.

To add on to Stevo’s post, the last two Fame Passes have had a “celebration” as a level reward, and the fame pass itself only costs 600 Showbucks

So I’d suggest that once you get 600 check the game pass for what you need as you might not need to wait for one to cycle into the store

Just to clarify, the creator made rounds also work for the achievement, so if you don't want to try to go for a full show, you can finish one of those and it will unlock.

I stopped playing for over a year thinking they would and they never have. I came back to find all my customizations and 400 showbucks were gone. I messaged support and they said they couldnt help me because of "discrepancies" and "security reasons". So i played the last few passes and in a couple days ill have 600 showbucks, so i can finally finish this game and never play it again.

The current fame pass is ideal because it has a celebration unlock at lvl3.

As others have stated this is actually very doable for free now. Just takes a little time as you will have to play enough to rack up at least 600 showbucks from free passes. Once you have that you can buy a basic fame pass with a celebration in it, play till you unlock it, then equip it and win any match. With the addition of solos chill, that shouldnt be a problem for anyone.

I got it with the "Leap of Faith" celebration that I unlocked at level 9. Didn't pay for the season pass either... instead I apparently got it for 'free' because I previously owned the game on Steam.

@Prattalmighty That's their claim for 'legacy players' at least. I assume you linked your epic account so you had cross progression? You might want to get in contact with support.

There is a celebration available in the ingame store for 700 show bucks for the next 4 days.
As i already had 400, I ended up buying the 'Neigh Neigh Pack' which includes a costume and 600 show bucks for 4$. Then i bought the season pass.

If you are new to the game, you'll get 100 show bucks early in season pass 2. So for 4$ you could buy the celebration for 700 bucks.

Unlocked this achievement the other day and wanted to add that is definitely possible to unlock without buying into the store. The cheapest celebrations are the uncommon and special rarities costing 700 show bucks. Higher tier celebrations occasionally cycle into the store and cost more than that. I recommend waiting for a special rarity to cycle back in which always happens a few times each season. Destiny 2, He-man, and Nightmare before Christmas are all examples of special tier events that include a celebration.
