How to unlock the Star of the Show achievement in Fall Guys - Definitive Guide

This guide is completely up to date for Season 2; due to my current disliking of the state of the game this won’t be updated if the Fame values change again.

This guide isn’t going to be particularly complex (though in personal tradition it won’t be short) since there aren’t any semi-complex methods for grinding out Fame, all three of them are cut and dry (and two of them are pretty obvious to be frank). Thankfully reaching level 40, which requires 277,300 Fame (you can check how much total seasonal Fame you have in the bottom-left corner of the lobby) is pretty easy in comparison to doing so in the Legacy seasons courtesy of the bump up to level 100 (as of Season 2 the max level was bumped up further to 200 but it seems to be a bit slower to level up in comparison to Season 1). TL;DR will be at the end.

Method 1: Do all your Fame challenges
This should be your priority if you are going to do this without spending money, as Fame rewards from actual rounds are pitiful. You can check your challenges by pressing cn_up in the lobby and going specifically to your Daily and Weekly challenges (not Marathon or event challenges like Crown Clash). If the challenge reward (located at the right-end of the challenge slot) is a pink, rectangular object with a star in it, it rewards Fame and should be sought after for this achievement. None of them I’ve found are particularly hard to complete so you should get most of them by just playing the game, though keep your eye out for challenges that need to be done in Duos or Squads; if there’s a LTM on for a week most if not all of the Fame challenges will likely be best achieved there. Based off my experience, this should take a bit over 2 weeks worth of Fame challenges to hit level 40 if you’re getting all or most of them done.

Method 2: Spend money for Tier Skips
If you just want to get this done immediately, you’re gonna need to spend money for Show-Bucks to get the premium version of Battle Pass (which gives you the ability to skip tiers) and skip all the way to level 40. The best method for this is to purchase the Battle Bundle and buy the remaining 15 levels. To do this efficiently, buy 1 pack of 2,800 and 1,000 Show-Bucks respectively, which will collectively cost you $28 USD. This will be enough to get you all the way to level 40 with the additional Show-Bucks peppered throughout the Battle Pass (on the caveat you might be a level or two short of 40 but that realistically won’t be an issue). If you are a Legacy player that for whatever reason doesn’t have this just buy the packs mentioned above and skip your way to level 40, you shouldn’t have any issues with that. (This is only recommended for Legacy players as they can’t buy the Battle Bundle due to them getting automatic access to the Pass.) As of Season 2 the Legacy method no longer works due to the Legacy Pack - which gave Legacy players the Pass for free - only being available for one season.

Method 3: Bore yourself to death in round 1
First off, it’s important to note that this method should only be done once all of your Fame challenges (and frankly most of the achievements) have been completed. Secondly, this method has been widely criticised to the point of being called out by media publications, so provided Mediatonic listen to the criticism this will probably be patched. Just keep that in mind.

Anyway, this method is as simple as they come: get into a lobby and wait until you get eliminated. That’s it. Getting Gold in a round as opposed to getting eliminated gets you exactly 3 additional Fame so this is a far more effective method for getting Fame than actually going for the win. If one of the LTMs available is X-treme Solos use the method there as you only have to fall off the map to get eliminated.

TL;DR Either spend $28 USD to get this done and over with or complete 2 and a bit weeks worth of Fame challenges with grinding out first round repeatedly to get this the free way.

Would it be worth mentioning that it's 22,130xp to get to level 40?
Just thinking then it would link my level 25 up guide with your level 40 guide. Really informative btw.

Done, also added where you can check your total Fame in a given season (and redid a piece of wording) as otherwise that’s redundant.

You should get to level 40, but as a Legacy player myself I cannot confirm that.

This is just my reference, but I got this just from playing it, doing all the daily/weekly challenges, without any tier skips and no first round elimination grinding, just getting as far as I could each episode, and took about 15-18 hours (according to my TA played time), which was over about 10 days.

Don’t listen to any of these people I got 4 levels from 2 games. Don’t spend money on this game like I did.

Getting to level 40 is easy and not the chore it's being made out to be here. You get plenty of xp from challenges alone, with dailies helping you go up 2-3 levels per day, as well as the weekly challenges that will help with another few levels on top, all in all getting you around 20 levels per week, so you should get this after 2-3 weeks of just completing challenges. Factor in other xp earned from completing races it could take less. And you don't need to spend money.

Yup level 40 is pretty doable even for casual players, this game has a much more forgiving 'season pass' than most other games nowadays. Even if you suck at the game and just log in to hit all your daily challenges, it's a guaranteed unlock before the pass expires. In fact, if you're planning to 1000G this game without microtransactions you will probably need to max out 3 or 4 of these passes anyway as you'll need premium/freemium currencies for other achievements.

Did the dailies for not even 2 weeks, hit 43 today. This was super easy with those new fast Creator Courses.

The final week or so of the new Fame pass has double XP. I was only about level 10 before it took me a few days to get 25 and I was able to get from 25 to 40 completing challenges in 3 days.

Fall Guys' metagame is structured into seasons, a familiar concept to players of battle royale games and games-as-a-service products. Part of this structure is the fame level, where players start a season at zero and work their way up through 40 levels of fame. Each season of Fall Guys is two months long, giving you that amount of time to reach level 40.

Qualifying in a game can give you variable amounts of points to contribute to the fame meter, usually 200 to 300 points depending on the round qualified. Episode Victories can give around 500 points. You can track your fame at the main menu. From the lobby screen, you can press twice to view your current fame level, rewards and points.

Reaching fame level 40 in Season 1 required a total of 35 000 fame points.

Reaching fame level 40 in Season 2 requires a total of 26 000 fame points.

This trophy can be a bit of a grind and requires a lot of games played in the season. Just keep playing games and grinding out the fame points in order to level up. Notably, if it looks like you're about to be disqualified in a game, do not prematurely leave as this will negate any fame points you would have earned in that game.

The trophy will unlock as soon as you reach level 40 fame. Note that this trophy is time-/date-sensitive as progress resets after the season ends. It's not, however, missable and will be available so long as the servers are active or the developers significantly change their approach to progression.
