How to unlock the Star of the Show achievement in Fall Guys - Definitive Guide
This guide isn’t going to be particularly complex (though in personal tradition it won’t be short) since there aren’t any semi-complex methods for grinding out Fame, all three of them are cut and dry (and two of them are pretty obvious to be frank). Thankfully reaching level 40, which requires 277,300 Fame (you can check how much total seasonal Fame you have in the bottom-left corner of the lobby) is pretty easy in comparison to doing so in the Legacy seasons courtesy of the bump up to level 100 (as of Season 2 the max level was bumped up further to 200 but it seems to be a bit slower to level up in comparison to Season 1). TL;DR will be at the end.
Method 1: Do all your Fame challenges
This should be your priority if you are going to do this without spending money, as Fame rewards from actual rounds are pitiful. You can check your challenges by pressing in the lobby and going specifically to your Daily and Weekly challenges (not Marathon or event challenges like Crown Clash). If the challenge reward (located at the right-end of the challenge slot) is a pink, rectangular object with a star in it, it rewards Fame and should be sought after for this achievement. None of them I’ve found are particularly hard to complete so you should get most of them by just playing the game, though keep your eye out for challenges that need to be done in Duos or Squads; if there’s a LTM on for a week most if not all of the Fame challenges will likely be best achieved there. Based off my experience, this should take a bit over 2 weeks worth of Fame challenges to hit level 40 if you’re getting all or most of them done.
Method 2: Spend money for Tier Skips
If you just want to get this done immediately, you’re gonna need to spend money for Show-Bucks to get the premium version of Battle Pass (which gives you the ability to skip tiers) and skip all the way to level 40. The best method for this is to purchase the Battle Bundle and buy the remaining 15 levels. To do this efficiently, buy 1 pack of 2,800 and 1,000 Show-Bucks respectively, which will collectively cost you $28 USD. This will be enough to get you all the way to level 40 with the additional Show-Bucks peppered throughout the Battle Pass (on the caveat you might be a level or two short of 40 but that realistically won’t be an issue).
Method 3: Bore yourself to death in round 1
First off, it’s important to note that this method should only be done once all of your Fame challenges (and frankly most of the achievements) have been completed. Secondly, this method has been widely criticised to the point of being called out by media publications, so provided Mediatonic listen to the criticism this will probably be patched. Just keep that in mind.
Anyway, this method is as simple as they come: get into a lobby and wait until you get eliminated. That’s it. Getting Gold in a round as opposed to getting eliminated gets you exactly 3 additional Fame so this is a far more effective method for getting Fame than actually going for the win. If one of the LTMs available is X-treme Solos use the method there as you only have to fall off the map to get eliminated.
TL;DR Either spend $28 USD to get this done and over with or complete 2 and a bit weeks worth of Fame challenges with grinding out first round repeatedly to get this the free way.
Just thinking then it would link my level 25 up guide with your level 40 guide. Really informative btw.
Fall Guys' metagame is structured into seasons, a familiar concept to players of battle royale games and games-as-a-service products. Part of this structure is the fame level, where players start a season at zero and work their way up through 40 levels of fame. Each season of Fall Guys is two months long, giving you that amount of time to reach level 40.
Qualifying in a game can give you variable amounts of points to contribute to the fame meter, usually 200 to 300 points depending on the round qualified. Episode Victories can give around 500 points. You can track your fame at the main menu. From the lobby screen, you can press twice to view your current fame level, rewards and points.
Reaching fame level 40 in Season 1 required a total of 35 000 fame points.
Reaching fame level 40 in Season 2 requires a total of 26 000 fame points.
This trophy can be a bit of a grind and requires a lot of games played in the season. Just keep playing games and grinding out the fame points in order to level up. Notably, if it looks like you're about to be disqualified in a game, do not prematurely leave as this will negate any fame points you would have earned in that game.
The trophy will unlock as soon as you reach level 40 fame. Note that this trophy is time-/date-sensitive as progress resets after the season ends. It's not, however, missable and will be available so long as the servers are active or the developers significantly change their approach to progression.
