How to unlock the Operation: Anchorage achievement in Fallout 3 - Definitive Guide

Once you are able to move leave the debriefing room and head towards your marker you will enter some trench's. This path is straight forward with its bends of course but you get the drift. You will follow this around till you get to a giant open area with pulse mines everywhere. You must hit the switch found in the building towards your marker. Once hit head towards the factory and the door will be blown open and your able to walk in. Talk to the general and if you have good speech you can convince him to kill himself and if not then you will have to fight him. Once done you will talk to someone and the simulation will end. Once out head straight towards the locked door. Use the terminal next to it to open and once you walk in the last achievement is yours.

Apparently if you download broken steel before completing anchorage dlc, the vas armory door won't open to get you this achievement.

Thankfully, the above mentioned glitch did NOT occur for me and the VSS armory door opened just fine. I had Broken Steel installed and reached level 30 literally dozens of hours before I even purchased Operation Anchorage. Considering how frequently players unlock this achievement, I think this glitch is actually pretty rare. Fallout 3 (and other Bethesda games) are known for their bugs. If this glitch happens to you I suggest doing all the normal fixes, like reloading a save, restarting the console, reinstalling the DLC, etc.

The quest starts immediately after "Paving the Way". We need to turn off the pulse field and recapture the captured complex. After the field is turned off, you need to kill General Chase. Then you will return to the real world and you will be given access to the weapons room. After you have taken everything from the weaponry, go and talk to the “defender”. This completes the quest and the entire plot of DLC: Operation: Anchorage.
