How to unlock the Armed and Dangerous achievement in Fallout 4 - Definitive Guide

I found a way in which you can "create" the same basic free mod without spending a single resource.

· You need a weapon that can support a muzzle mod. That is, Supressor, Muzzle Break, Compensator or Bayonet, in regular guns. Very common weapons that support this kind of mods are, for example, 10mm Pistols or Pipe Pistols. You'll find loads of these during the game.

Also, you can use any legendary gun that has a muzzle attachment. I got it using the "Deliverer" silenced 10mm pistol that you can accept as a reward during the Railroad faction mission "Tradecraft".

· Anyways, once you have one of these basic pistols (either with o without a muzzle attachment), or one legendary one, head to a Weapons Workbench. The game is full of them, so just fast travel to any settlement. Sanctuary, for example.

· If your weapon doesn't have a muzzle attachment, create it. Bayonet has low requirements.

· Click on "No muzzle". The game will ask you to "create" the mod at no cost. Do it. Then, put back the mod you just removed. Then, click on "No muzzle" again. The game will ask you to create it again. Repeat it 50 times.

· Here's a small video for clarification. My game is in Spanish, but it should be clear.

@insidious, I believe there was a problem with the achievement server some hours ago. My "Kill 300 creatures" achievement didn't unlock either, so I guess that it will unlock eventually when the problem is solved, as it has happened some times before.

Still works. I created a bayonette for my shotgun, then just kept switching back and forth between "muzzle" and "bayonette". Got the achievement in just over a minute.

that's cool, i was thinking of this recently too, nice to see that it works.. :)

btw if you want a mod on your weapon that you can't build due to locked perks you can still attach them if you find another weapon that has them already. just put something else that is cheap (or that you already have a mod in your inventory/workbench) instead of the mod you want for your favored weapon. the wanted mod will now be put in your inventory and you can attach it to every weapon of the same type without having to research the perk. it depends more on luck what mods you find and you will have to keep collecting weapons but it's a good way to get overpowered weapons early in the game.. smile

I didn't know how to "create a bayonet", bur managed to buy a weapon with a bayonet from the vendor right beside the weapons workbench in Diamond City. From here, it took a few minutes to get the 50x no muzzle mods. Very easy, thank you.

A simple way I've found of doing this is to get a baseball bat and scrap a bunch of wood from your settlements then go in to the craft station and pick each of the color mods then go in your inventory and drop all the mods (Not Bat) keep doing this till it unlocks! Hope this helps!

Great thank you, I followed this method then reverted back to a previous save once I had the achievement. FYI If you are short of wood scrapping tree's nets you 10-20 wood each time (obvious I know laugh)

Do I need 50 baseball bats for this?

By ResinousHashish on 31 Dec 2015 18:12
To clarify slightly, you have to drop the MODS, not the baseball bats. Ones you have crafted and swapped out live in your inventory again like in New Vegas - scroll over to the right in INV and drop them (or feed them into the crafting inventory manually for less mess/recycling)

Totally didn't wind up buying multiple bats and drop them over and over wondering why they weren't resetting, before remembering how mods now work, what are you talking about?

With the console commands this one takes only about five minutes.

Hit the key to open the console ("~", "@ + shift" or "ö" depending on your region)
Type in coc qasmoke and hit enter, now you will be teleported to the developers room.
In the containers on the tables are all materials and weapons, take everything with "R" then slowly make your way to the nearest weapons workbench. There you can craft the mods for your weapons until you have 50. It even counts if you craft all mods for one weapon and then move on to the next one.

-You can also type tgm into the console to be able to sprint when over encumbered

-If you are running out of mods to make, you need to go get more weapons from the weapon crate

Over 700 mods made for me and it hasn't popped. Third achievement in this game that refuses to unlock. Robco's Worst Nightmare and Homerun for the others.

Get a gun that already has a muzzle attachment included, such as the Deliverer that you can pick up from the corpse of Tommy Whispers in the quest Tradecraft. Then go to a weapons crafting station.

Mod the gun barrel attachment to "none" which counts as a new mod, then re-attach the existing mod. Each time you select "none" the game counts it as one instance of creating a new mod. Do this fifty times (attaching the "none", re-adding an existing mod doesn't count towards the tally) and you'll pop this trophy.

Verified May 5 2024, this is how I earned it.

Hey,

I stumbled across an easy way to do this. I applied a silencer to my 10mm pistol, then I remove it. The dialogue read "Make No Muzzle?" which actually classes as creating a weapon mod.

Simply apply the silencer mod then make a no muzzle mod and repeat until the achievement pops.

Weapon mods are created at a "Weapon Workbench". Mods consist of different barrels, magazines, sights etc. For the trophy, you just need to create 50 Weapon Mods. You do not need to apply them to a weapon either, you can simply just create them and get rid of them. Modifying weapons is one of the main things you should be doing in the game so this should come naturally. However, if you didn't and you need to create a lot then you can do it quickly by simply finding any weapon that has a muzzle attachment already on it (such as the "Deliver" Legendary silenced pistol. You'll have two muzzle options i.e. "No Muzzle" and "Suppressor", simply keep switching between the two and the trophy will eventually unlock as this way it costs you nothing. This works on any Gun that already has a muzzle attachment on it.

One of the easiest ways to tackle this is to go to a weapon workbench with a baseball bat in your inventory. Now simply go through and create each modification for the baseball bat (different colors and items tacked on to bat). After you have created each mod (approximately 9) simply put the mods in your workbench and remake them.

The mods only cost wood, a commodity that is easy to come by making this method cost effective and extremely quick.

If you have looted everything from the dev room by warping to "coc qasmoke" you should have plenty of materials for this. The easiest way to go about this achievement is attaching simple mods to a baseball bat or plain knife, removing them, and reattaching them. Should only take a minute of swapping mods in and out.

the simplest way, in which you don’t even need to collect all the trash:
you will need any gun that has a bayonet-knife, then go to the workbench and remove the knife, the menu will ask “are you sure”, we agree, this will not add experience, but it will go into the statistics as a modification, immediately put the knife back and go to the menu where the sections are according to our weapon, we go back and remove the knife, and immediately put it back, and go to the menu, and in fact we continue like this until the bitter end.

I'll add to the previous tip. It is not necessary to go to the top menu. Just put the bayonet on and take it off, put the bayonet back on and take it off right away. And so on until the bitter end.

The easiest way to boost mods is with elementary pistols. for example, creating handles, sights, and so on. It takes the least amount of resources to upgrade pistols and upgrades themselves.
Resources can be found both in the world and from sellers.
