How to unlock the Legend Of The Wastes achievement in Fallout 4 - Definitive Guide
WAY #2. Alright, here's for you folks that feel you need to break the game to hit 50. It's simple, all you need to do, is get a decent sniper rifle (make sure it has a long scope, too), and join the Brotherhood of Steel. Set the game to easy and progress until you hit the Learning Curve quest. What the quest will have you do is protect a fellow Knight using your shiny rifle from the deck of a ship. What you WANT to do, though, is crouch and make sure you are HIDDEN. Once you are, your only goal in life should be to team kill the hell out of your friend. Make sure you are HIDDEN before each shot!!! What this does is, if you are UNSEEN, it will just end the quest. You can now go back to Quinlan and claim your 300 exp reward, AND you can do it over, and over again to your hearts content. You should get the 300 exp in all of 90 seconds per run. EASY level 50!
Video for reference: (it isn't mine)
Happy hunting!
A couple of shootouts from the comments here:
Both Illustrious Yeti and South Park TFBW have added that you can get the idiot savant perk, and rank it up so you get the 5x bonus, and right before you turn the quest in, save and turn the quest in. If you don't get the bonus, you can reload and try again to get the bonus! Handy!
On the other, brighter end of the spectrum, A Giant Radroach suggests that you can also max out your Int, get the night person perk for even more intelligence, wear the Vault Tec lab coat for even MORE, and sleep with your lover to get a pretty consistent exp bonus to make it go a little faster. So many options!
That's it.
Cheers.
you will need to find a copy of picket fences which can be found in Saugus Ironworks
now that you have the statues, follow this video to learn how to duplicate shipments of copper to boost your xp to get those few extra levels you need
make sure you quicksave after every few duplications so you don't need to keep buying more!
samsaBEAR pointed out that the more shippments you have, the quicker and easier it is to duplicate as you do not need to press the buttons as quickly
What you must do is 1st of all acquire the Statue addition of "Picket Fences" this can be found in Saugus Fireworks on the floor in the room with the big heavy Gunner called Slag.
After this you're gonna need to create a cabinet and every single item in your workshop and your junk from your inventory put into the cabinet.
Right now all you need to do is acquire a Shipment of Copper (more the better)
Once this is in your inventory this is a duplicate trick, quicksave... Go into your workshop and press Y X quickly, what this will do is times the 25 Copper you get in a shipment by how ever many you have, keep saving when you get 500 more as sometimes you can be too slow and it will corrupt your shipments of Copper and you'll need to get more.
Please note you can only do this in the build workshop not the weapon/armor etc ones.
Once you have enough Copper I would recommend 10k which currently gives me 4 levels, find an open space like Drive in or the Island and keep making statues in a long line, this only requires Copper, then once you've hit your limit you should be flying on XP, just delete all those statues and start over.
Max Intelligence gives 30XP per statue and if you have the Lover's Embrace Perk from Romancing Piper it hands out 35XP per statue once romanced.
Hope this helps!
I've just tested and you cannot do this with just 1 shipment so you'll need to acquire 2, shops are unpredictable so you can actually duplicate any item by setting Dogmeat as your companion, if you drop the item and ask him to pick it up, try pick it up exactly when he does and you'll have the item in your inventory while he drops the duplicate.
Thanks to ST0NE C0LD ET for adding this:
"Wanted to add that Arturo in Diamond City sells shipments of Copper and red rocks every 48 hours
Also for a faster XP grind instead of deleting all of your statues once you've filled your lot, single one out and then mash X and A on it repeatedly to begin a Scrap/Build loop that is lightning quick!"

Great guide
So here you go, the first thing you'll need is the Automatron DLC.
1) Go to a settlement with a companion where you have no power or other items as such placed and take the most junk you can transport in your inventory so you can craft items there.
2) Once there build a Robot Workbench.
3) Ceate an new Automatron and craft a new Torso for it. For this case, I used the Assaultron Torso.
4) Now this step is really important. Click back on the Protectron torso on the top of the list so the mod you created goes in your inventory.
5) Craft a container and place it beside your red workbench.
6) Take everything in your workbench and place everything except your Robot mod in the container.
7) With only your Robot mod in your inventory, stand next to the Robot Workbench.
8) Call your companion and command him to go next to the Robot Workbench.
9) Trade with him and as soon as you click trade, enter in the Robot Workbench.
10) Now if you did it well, your screen should be messed up with both the trade and the Robot mod options overlapping on each other.
11) Click on the Assaultron mod.
12) Now spam the hell out of Right on the D-Pad and A.
You will keep getting XP as long as you spam.
If you get out of the Workbench and are willing to do the glitch again, you will have to create a new Assaultron mod to have in your inventory.
There you go! Fast and easy way to be level 50!
Hope you enjoy and here's the video I used to do the glitch.

Reaching Level 50 will take a long time, but you should be close to it by the time you are near the Platinum. Pretty much everything earns you XP e.g. from killing enemies, to picking locks. The amount of XP you get is based on your intelligence but it isn't a huge amount. When I was on Intelligence 11, I was getting 405xp from a radiant quest. When I got it to 16 through perks and Mentats, it was earning my 435xp. The difference is hardly noticeable so don't feel compelled to put points into intelligence.
There is currently a radiant quest that you can complete very quickly. The method is as follows:
THIS METHOD CAN ONLY BE DONE IF YOU SIDED WITH THE BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL AND DIDN'T KILL THEM BY SIDING WITH OTHER FACTIONS.
- Join the Brotherhood of Steel and go to their airship. Once onboard, talk to Proctor Quinlan. He can be found on the main deck of the ship, in the second room on the right. He will always be in this room. Talk to him and ask about assisting on patrols. He will give you a quest called "Learning Curve".
- Go outside the ship and to the very back left part that sticks out. You now want to equip a sniper (any will do, you can modify a laser rifle to give it a sniper barrel and that will be more that sufficient). You want to shoot the scribe who is near the sandbags/security gate. Make sure you are in a [HIDDEN] state when you fire the shot, else the brotherhood will shoot you. If you have perks such as "Mister Sandman" and "Ninja" you will do a lot of damage through the sneak attack and probably kill him in one shot.
- Return to Proctor Quinlan and tell him the scribe died. You'll still get the XP and the caps even though he died. You can then ask him about patrols again and get given the same quest. Repeat as often as you'd like.
Reaching level 50 is a test of patience and thoroughness. You will earn XP for just about any action you perform in the game. That includes completing quests, killing wasteland hostiles, discovering new locations, picking locks and hacking terminals, crafting settlement items, tweaking gear and weapon mods, cooking recipes, and even passing speech checks in dialogue.
All in all, XP will be rolling your way over the course of your playthrough, and so long as you are persistent with your exploration and questing, reaching level 50 won't be a problem at all. In the event you want a little boost throughout your playthrough though, you can invest in the "Idiot Savant" perk (level 5 perk) under the Luck skill tree. This perk will randomly grant you small amounts of bonus XP for any action you perform; the lower your Intelligence skill, the greater the chance of XP. It may not seem like much, but it all adds up.
If you are having trouble leveling there are a plethora of repeating quests that you can do ad nauseam to gain massive levels.
