How to unlock the RobCo's Worst Nightmare achievement in Fallout 4 - Definitive Guide
You can use this list to either:
-find missing terminals, or
-double check that you found all of them for the area/ building
Total Terminals found so far: 74!
Extra Notes:
-Don't be an idiot like me and completely forget to upgrade your lockpicking- I likely missed some Terminals as a result.
-Pipboy > DATA > STATS > Crime to view your terminals hacked (and locks picked).

Turn a little to the right and you should see a computer/terminal straight ahead.
Walk up to it and open up the console again. Click on it with the console open and a little bit of bright white text should show up at the top of the console, showing the ID of the item you selected, in my case
Now you can exit the console and hit E when pointed at the terminal to start the hacking minigame.
If this is your first time playing the minigame, you click on one of the words displayed amidst all the symbols. If you are right, you are done. If you are wrong it will tells you the likeness (0,1,23, etc) that is how many letters of the word you guessed match the correct word. So if the right word was PALES and you guessed TREES, it would say 2 letters match (the ES at the end).
With the perks, the bobblehead, and 10 intelligence, you should have 5 guesses for 6 words, so you can just click each one quickly and retry if you fail. (Even though it says you will be locked out, the perks prevent that.) If you prefer, after four guesses it probably will be pretty easy to guess which one of the remaining two is correct.
Now, repeat 50 times:
2) Open the Console (as long as you don't click on something in the console. the teminal is still selected)
3) Hit the up arrow to bring up your last command "lock"
4) Hit Enter
5) Close the console
You need to find the correct word to hack the terminal.
For example; Seeds could have likeness of 3. There could be another word like Welds. 3 of the letters match, so it is likely that Welds is the correct word.
Terminals with Novice rank, have shorter words, whereas Master will be considerably larger words.
In between the words are random symbols. But look for brackets like this ( ) < > [ ] { } in each line of code. If you have got a set of brackets, the highlighted cursor will extend to cover that code in said brackets. Press A, and it will remove a dud word. Making your hacking easier. Sometimes, you will have your tries amount reset.
Hope this guide helps, and if you have anything to add, or think needs to be changed, reply in the comments, and I'll ammend it with a credit to yourself.
Edit: Thanks to CanadianWhizKid. If you have guessed wrong 3 times, back out of the terminal, and when you go in again, you will have reset your tries. Also, the hacking perks are essential if you want to hack advanced and master terminals.
Another update from WhizKid, it seems that it must be on a single character. As he has 2 saves, one with 23 and another with 29. Looks like it will pop when the counter in your stats hits 50.
Step 1. Look straight forwards and open the in-game console
Step 2. Enter the following command: player.placeatme 001F6afc 1
Step 3. Exit the console and face the newly spawned terminal
Step 4. Enter the console, select the terminal and enter the command: lock
Step 5. Exit the console and hack the terminal
Step 6. Open the console and enter the command: lock
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have acquired the achievement.
Note: The terminal will be angled the same as to which the player is currently looking when spawned. It will additionally be facing in the opposite direction. The terminal will be non-interactable if placed at an extreme angle.
Perk commands to assist with hacking:
Hacker 1 - "Knowledge of cutting-edge computer encryption allows you to hack Advanced terminals."
get the science bobbledhead:
player.additem 178b5f 1
get the close to metal perk
player.addperk 1e67bd
that will reduce the number of words and give you two extra guesses
You should have 5 guesses for 6 words, so you can just click each one quickly and retry if you fail. Or after four guesses it probably will be pretty easy to guess which one of the remaining two is correct.
If this is your first time playing the minigame, when it tells you likeness 0,1,23, etc that is how many letters of the word you guessed match the correct word. So if the right word was PALES and you guessed TREES, it would say 2 match (the ES at the end).

Achievement pops after a short delay. (10-15s for me)
If you have played the previous Fallout games, you will be familiar with how you hack Terminals. What you want to do first is to exclude all of the incorrect passwords. You do this by finding anything with an open bracket and closed bracket (refer to the image below). Once you have done this, there should only be a few passwords left on the screen to choose from. Click any of them, then look at the "Likeness" at the bottom right. This will tell you how many of the letters were in the correct place but it won't say which ones exactly. You get 4 attempts until you are locked out from the terminal for 10 seconds. You will have 5 attempts if you have the "Science" Bobblehead however. Do not waste a point on the last tier of the "Hacker" skill. Unlike Fallout 3 and New Vegas, you don't get permanently locked out from Terminals in this game but will have to wait for a few seconds until the lockout expires.
An easier method to hack Terminals is to just use the lazy method. Open up a terminal, spam 3 random passwords and hope one of them is right. If none of them are right, back out of the Terminal then enter it again. Your password attempts will be back again and you will want to spam another 3 random passwords. Do this until you get lucky and select the correct one.
Terminals are broken down into 4 types. Novice, Advanced, Expert and Master. You will be able to open the hack novice terminals from the get go but you will need to invest in the "Hacker" Skill to be able to unlock the others. Terminals aren't as common as locks are however so you might not have 50 by the time you have done everything else. If you haven't then simply go into all of the buildings in the Downtown Boston area since most of them have at least a few Terminals that you can hack:
This achievement will come naturally over the course of your playthrough. Throughout the Commonwealth wastelands, you will often find locked terminals inside buildings that are worth checking out for holotapes, backstory, access to nearby stashed loot, and more.
Terminals are locked at the following levels: Novice, Advanced, Expert, and Master. When you begin the game, you will always be able to hack into Novice terminals. In order to crack higher level consoles, you will need an Intelligence level of at least 4 in order to invest in Tiers 1, 2, and 3 of the "Hacker" skill.
Once you gain access to the terminal, you will be presented with a list of words, all the same character length depending on the level of the terminal you're hacking; the higher the level, the longer the words. One of these words is the password and in order to find it out, you'll need to first choose any word in either column. If you guessed correctly, the terminal will unlock. If you didn't, the terminal will display "X/Y Correct" where "X" is the number of correct letters for the password if it's in the right spot, and "Y" is the length of the word. For example, if you chose FALL but the password is BALD, you'll see the terminal indicate "2/4 Correct," where "A" and "L" are correct, and in the right position.
Regardless of the terminal's level, you'll only have four attempts at finding the password. However, if you have Tier 4 of the "Hacker" skill, you'll have unlimited attempts. If you don't have the perk, simply back out of the console on your 4th attempt and re-enter the terminal. This will give you another four tries but also reset the password! Overall, this should come naturally so long as you invest is those skills mentioned above and hack every locked terminal you see.
The point is to move from the Castle to the Boston Military Checkpoint. Do not kill anyone and do not open the door under any circumstances, just hack, move away and move to the Castle again. Repeat the video and everything will be fine, make a save just in case. And yes, don't forget to upgrade your hack to expert.

If we draw an imaginary horizontal line on the map, starting from the north, to our house at the stadium, then there will be a little more than fifty terminals in this, so to speak, selected area above the drawn line. If, while walking around the Commonwealth, you look into everything and everyone, then the trophy will pop up by itself.
Hurry up to get perks for very complex terminals as early as possible, so that you don’t have to worry about it later. You will destroy the turrets anyway, but you won’t be able to learn anything interesting from the terminals or open special safes.
And yet - regardless of the complexity level of the password, I selected the first three words, then exited, then again the first three. And so on until it opens. Doesn't take much time.
