How to unlock the Eyes on the Prize achievement in Fallout 4 - Definitive Guide
Instead of putting together a bunch of contraptions that takes time/resources to set up, or just dunking 100 times on one machine for an hour and half, just use the Mat Method of placing settlement items to place multiple Hoop Shots in the same spot, with all the hoops overlapping. I put three together, started all three and used the ball to crouch dunk and get about 3k per session. You may be able to get more tickets and do the achievement faster by placing more than 3 hoop shots but 3 worked well for me.
Mat method involves placing a small rubber Mat on the ground and then placing an object you wish to clip through other objects onto it. Then you can move the mat and the object placed on it will move with it and its collision/bounding box will basically be missing, allowing you to clip objects into each other.
For quick dunking, I'd also recommend mapping the crouch button to one of the face buttons for this.
Video showing what it looks like below.
I've made another version of the video in order to better show people how to use the Rug Glitch to combine the hoopshots.
With the basketball hoop shot I get 1000-1200 tickets every round and the rounds are 50 seconds. All you have to do is stand on the game and peek over edge to activate button, then grab a ball look around the top red line of backboard and spam the crouch button.
(i would highly recommend reasigning crouch to the B button or similar for you get more clicks per second than with the right stick.)
To compare it with Bandit Roundup:
rounds are 80 seconds and net around 800 tickets.
This will still take you awhile and you may have to look away from the screen while doing it for the bobbing could give headaches. But this is reliable and quick.
Go to the Bandit Roundup and aim at the middle... each bullet will clear all targets visible (and even a few that aren't visible yet). You can get to the 10,000 score range with around 1,000 tickets, but will often get 6,000 to 9,000 score for 450-900 tickets.
First of all, you're going to want to try to get as many tokens as you can, somewhere between 100-200. You can exchange all your pre-war money for tokens or just buy them from Fritsch. When doing Bandit Roundup, I also recommend not using the pistol they provide you with, I used my own custom 10mm pistol. If you have a Never Ending one then that's even better because you don't have to reload. Make sure you have a lot of ammo.
(UPDATE: The thirst zapper is amazing for this)
Then it's just a matter of playing over and over and over and over and over again. The song will start to drive you insane but that's okay, keep your eyes on the prize. The targets that appear each time are pretty random so your score will be inconsistent, even if you are hitting 100% of the targets. My high score is 11450 (and I missed a few on that run) and I was never even able to get close to that again despite hitting all of them. Once you get good at it, your score will generally range between 7000-9000 each time. This will net you between 500-1000 tickets per try (not sure exactly what the conversion rate there is). Feel free to spice things up by jumping over the desk and trying out different weapons to keep things interesting because there really are no rules to these games as long as you hit the targets. Once you're done go downstairs to the terminal and redeem your tickets.
Have fun and let me know if you beat my high score.
(Also, it's worth noting that I redeemed all 100,000 of my tickets at once, not sure if that matters.)
Not my video, but this method worked like a charm.
Now you can build more of these, but what I did (and yes it took a bit with one), made it automated then starting watching TV or whatever and when I heard the buzzer I hit the button and inserted another coin.
PS, I would build a coin machine to just in case your run out of nuka cade coins...I ran out multiple times :D
You actually have to REDEEM your tickets in the NUKA-CADE PRIZE TERMINAL inside NUKA-CADE in Nuka-World.
The ticktes themselves does NOT need to be rewarded in Nuka-World. I got all my 102.000 ticktes in the Starlight Drive In settlement in the Commonwealth, and the settlement was NOT taken over by the raiders.
After redeeming all of the tickets in the Nuka-Cade Prize Terminal, the achievement poped.
You can also do it with the other ball game (Atomic Rollers), pick the ball up in the same way and jump on the game. Place the ball with X in the top left or right holes for 700 points a time. All balls in the top left or right holes gives you 7000 points and 585 tickets.
No ammo needed for either game just a token.
Thanks to MrAgentKibble in the comments by using crouch it seems quicker than looking up and down.
Hope this helps.
They Hoop/Basket ball game is the best for this but if like me the games in the arcade stop working you can build them in you settlement for unlimited tries.
I know its obvious to do if you think about it but I saw many comments complaining about this issue.
Also does work best if you change the crouch button. I used a elite controller and mapped it to the rear paddle and was able to get 1000 tickets a game.
Buy some atomic bowler ballers from Fritsch and put them in the holes so it doesn't back up.
Crouch on the ball path and pick up the balls to position them above the 700 hole(the top right/left) and tap y or just drop them in.
If you get good at it the timer stops at 7,000 points, which can be done in about a minute for about 585 tickets
Getting 100,000 will take about 3 hours probably quicker.
By the way the bandit roundup game with an explosive weapon is faster I am just trying to complete the game without firing a gun when I can.
Since most of us have a huge backlog of games and probably not enough time to get stuck on a particular achievement, I was scouting the net to find some visuals in order to get those tickets as quickly as possible and preferably without too much efforts.
I came across following vids which I thought to share with you...
Bandit Roundup
Or...
If you also have the other DLC (Contraption), you might want to build a few machines to get the job done instead
For their vids on youtube, credits go to: Starlord, TwoDynamic, Golden Couch Gaming, zoopzoop1984, MasterOfTheMarsh, First Last
Notes
If you consider building machines to get the job done, keep in mind that it takes time as well to set up the right items, you'll have to search in the workbench for these items, and it'll take time as well to 'finetune' the setup (i.e. having the basket balls drop directly through the hoop).
Personally, I started with a small setup of 6 machines (see clip).
After a while, I got bored running around putting tokens in the machines and collecting the tickets, so I did stick to only machine. All I had to do was pressing to insert another token once I heard the buzzer.
The pace at which I got the Nuka-Cade tickets was not satisfying.
So, I finally ended up creating an additional Hoop Shot machine and did the crouch trick which was imho still the fastest way to collect the Nuka-Cade tickets, but I had to "work" a little for it.
Any suggestions to improve this guide are welcome.
Thanks for voting thumbs up if the guide was helpful.
Good luck and happy ticket farming!
Not sure if this is fast, but it was fun and requires almost no aiming.
Place a token in both machines at the same time as they are next to each other. Then stand at an angle while using the Spray 'n Pray gun to "whack" the little guys. I got 3000 points per machine - so 6000 points total.
Oh, and the Thirst Zapper works, too, and doesn't waste ammo or need to be reloaded!
I started by collecting ~20k tickets using the Hoop Shot (a stack of 5), then proceeded to clone these tickets with the dupe glitch. The stacks of tickets get a little messy when you're dealing with really high amounts (like 90k) but it's doable - just pay attention because, when dropping, they might glitch and get stuck inside the ground.
This method is done here:
And of course he Hoop Shot is explained in all of those other guides.
Just remember that the achievement only unlocks when you redeem the tickets on the Nuka Cade terminal!
Found/earned tickets can be redeemed at the Nuka-Cade via the red terminal which can be found (from the entrance) straight ahead, at the end on the right.
NOTE: When you press the "use" button on the terminal, there will be a delay before you actually use it so don't press the button more than once else you might end up in a loop you can't get out of.
Tickets are found laying in the world, in Nuka-World trash cans and as giant rolls of tickets which will randomly give you between 750-1000 tickets. Tip: You can save before "opening" a roll (as the amount given is randomized upon opening) and reload if it's not the amount you want.
At some point, you will have to "earn" tickets in the Nuka-Cade to reach the 100,000 mark. Below is a list of things to keep in mind:
- In order to play a Nuka-Cade "game/machine", you will a Nuka-Code Token. They can be purchased with Pre-war Money at a dispenser (found in the Nuka-Cade), with caps from Fritsch who runs the arcade or in random locations around the map.
- A quick way to get tickets is by playing the game "Bandit Roundup" which is found to your left as you enter the hall. The video below recommends the weapon "Spray 'n Pray" but as I didn't have it, I used "Lorenzo's Artifact gun" though any explosive/incendiary weapon will do.
- If for some reason you want to do it legit, I recommend aiming at a spot where the upper and lower targets align vertically as that way you only have to move your cursor up and down.

The Nuka-Cade can be found within Nuka-Town, just before exiting the gates that lead to Fizzy Mountain. In order to partake in the arcade games you will first need to obtain Nuka-Tokens. These can be found throughout the park, purchased from the arcade owner, or acquired by trading in Pre-War money to the token dispenser machines.
There are several games within the arcade but for this achievement you'll want to focus on Bandit Roundup. Disregard the pistol they supply you with; any weapon with the explosive mod will suit you far better as it ensures you do not have to manually aim and shoot each moving target. For example, the Spray n' Pray machine gun that can be purchased from Cricket, a traveling merchant in the Commonwealth, is one of the best weapons to use during this mini-game. Whichever weapon you do choose to work with, just make sure you have plenty of ammo on hand. Should you ever run out, Shelbie and Aaron inside the Nuka-Town Market sell plenty of ammo.
Enter a token into the arcade machine and let it rip. The goal of the game is to shoot as many moving targets as possible within seventy to eighty seconds. The amount of tickets you earn is slightly correlated to your score (i.e. a score of 8,500 will yield around 800-875 tickets). Given the steep ask of this achievement, you will need to play Bandit Roundup upwards to 100+ times in order to amass 100,000 tickets.
Alternatively, thanks to The Pants Party, there is a cheap and more effective method to earn tickets by playing the Hoop Shot mini-game. Please refer to THIS POST for more information and a visual demonstration.
You'll also notice that throughout the park are ticket rolls, much like those found inside the RobCo Battlezone's reception office or the projection booth of the Kiddie Kingdom Theater. These ticket rolls will help, but don't rely on them; there aren't many and they only have 800-1000 tickets, which is as much as one game of Bandit Roundup or Hoop Shot.
Once you have the required amount of tickets, return to the main lobby of the arcade and interact with the ticket terminal. Select "Redeem Tickets" and the achievement will unlock shortly after.
By doing as in this video you can get from 700 to 1200 tickets. Weapons can be purchased from the merchant Cricket, who can be found outside Vault 81 or outside Diamond City.

I’ll describe what they do in the video to make it clear:
1. Throw the Yader-Arcade Ticket on the ground, about 30k, throw the rest in another place.
2. We select 30k (hold down “A”), throw them on the conveyor, just before entering the storage facility, we select them.
3. It should work out: 1 ticket should be in your inventory, the rest in storage. If it turns out the other way around: 1 ticket is in the vault, the rest of the tickets are in the character’s inventory, we take 1 ticket and the vaults, throw 30k on the floor. We get 2 stacks: 30k and 1 ticket. We repeat from point 2.
4. You have 1 ticket, which should be in your inventory, the rest in storage.
5. We throw 1 ticket away from the rest of the single tickets.
6. We take 30k from the storage.
7. We throw 30k, not far from 1 ticket.
8. We see that 1 ticket became 30k. Don't pick it up.
9. Quick save and go to the menu.
10. Load a quick save.
11. We select all the tickets.
Once we reach 100k or more, we go to Yader-Arcade (Located next to the Yader-Town Market - opposite the Salon.) We hand over tickets to the prize distribution terminal and receive a trophy.
