How to unlock the Old Guns achievement in Fallout 4 - Definitive Guide
At the Castle you speak a former Minutmen and asks you to find a way into the Armory. After the conversation go in build mode, to remove debris that blocks a tunnel in the middle room on the other side of the Castle from where the Armory is. Now make your way through the tunnels into the Armory. Look out for mines on the ground.
Next you have to build an Artillery (you can place it on the wall above the Armory). After this you have to get the Artillery in use. You do this by going into build mode and if you approads a person you can command it to a certain task. There are a few Minutmen you can use or attract settlers. Some but not all Compainions can be used too.
Now throw a beacon in the desegnated area and watch the fireworks.

Once the radio is powered up, complete the castle quest by talking to Preston Garvey again.
Fast travel away, and tune to Radio Freedom.
A few in-game days later, a message will play on radio freedom calling you to the castle.
Begin "Old Guns" by talking to Ronnie Shaw.
Make sure you haven't built too much in the castle, as it can mess with the pathfinding of NPCs during this quest that will make it take longer or softlock it until you clear obstacles.
Follow Ronnie to the chamber under The Castle.
Ronnie *should* hack an inaccessible terminal to let you get through a door where you'll find
If she doesn't, sit down on one of the nearby chairs and wait an hour, and that should fix it.
Collect the artillery plans from the room you are allowed access to at this points, and collect spare parts. You can also scrap the damaged artillery on the walls of the Castle for most of the components for a functional one.
Build the artillery anywhere in the castle and assign a settler to it. If you haven't built a radar beacon at the Castle yet, you can assign one of the minutemen wandering around.
Test the artillery at the location marked by the quest by throwing one of the smoke grenades.
Talk to Ronnie Shaw, and then talk to Preston Garvey to complete the quest.
Quest Giver: Preston
Location: Sanctuary
Once you complete "Taking Independence," Preston will give you three new quests. After completing any one of these quests and returning to Sanctuary to hand it in, Preston will let you know that there is trouble at the Castle. This will trigger "Old Guns," a quest that leads you and Ronnie Shaw into the tunnels underneath the Castle in order to access the old bastion. When venturing down there, watch your step for pesky land mines and be prepared to face off against a high-leveled sentry robot. From here, simply carry on towards the bastion and help set up some new artillery equipment around the fort. When you're all done, head back to Preston to turn in the quest.
Faction: Minutemen
Quest Giver: Preston Garvey
Location: Sanctuary
This is the last quest that you need to do for the Minutemen, trophy wise. This quest is fairly short and you pretty much just need to gain access to the castle's armoury. You do this by going into build mode and then deleting the rubble blocking a doorway. Once you do so, you will be told to build some Artillery. Now just follow the tutorial for them and the quest will complete.
So that the task itself appears after the capture of the fort - teleporter on the map several times - and contact the leader of the Minutemen several times - he will give the left task and once give the necessary one.
