So far I've noticed nothing different personally, I still receive my quests from both factions, still have the followers I had before.
I made a seperate save beforehand just incase though

It has not unlocked for me. Completed the mission, talked to Danse afterwards at the police station, and again after that once I was released for missions, but no achievement.

@theicemancometh
It may be stuck in the 'done! Unlocking...' phase on your xbox, if so it'll unlock on it's own randomly soon, if not if you have a previous save try going back to it maybe or restart fallout, a lot of the time it's the xbox servers stopping the achievements from unlocking

After the service issues were resolved, I tried all my previous things to get it to pop, but no luck (the Level 10 did after I reached 11), so I just reloaded that really old save, did the mission again, and now it's in the "Done! Unlocking..." state so I'm good.

I fucked up and killed Paladin Danse the first day I played the game cry

Except it's kinda fun to take down every Vertibird that comes my way, and act as a lone wolf.

BIG WARNING TO ALL If the tanker in front of the fort blows up it glitches out so quick save before. You also can just go back to a save before you try to start the mission. quest line is pretty easy so only need to be level 5

I kept getting the bug too, but tried “unsure” as my response and then joined later. Totally worked.

No, it's definitely not stuck in the "Unlocking ..." state because you normally have that show in the Achievements app and that's not there. I've tried reloading save points (but I'm even screwed there now because I was relying too heavily on Quicksaves rather than true Savepoints - lesson learned), as well as restarting the game and shutting the console off. My Level 10 achievement also has not unlocked, and I have a friend who has had THREE FO4 achievements not unlock. There are issues with this game right now.

Paladin Danse just keeps saying "check your fire, we've got hostiles" does anyone know if there's a way to fix that while still being able to complete all mission achievements in one playthrough?

Yep this was super bugged on Xbox X (2023). I ended reloaded a super old file. I tried all the basic reload old game, reboot game, reboot xbox. force close and try. Nothing worked.

FInally gave in and loaded a very old save file, The only thing I did this time was super rush the story and set off the Rocket Engine. I think I forgot to do that the first time. Might be needed to do all optional items as well. Otherwise, I don't know why else this time it worked.

fucking buggy ass game.

If you kill all the ferals around the Cambridge police station and Danse just keeps saying “Check your fire, we’ve got hostiles!” over and over, here’s how to fix that:
- Play the main questline up to The Molecular Level. Bring the item you obtained at the end of the previous quest Hunter/Hunted to Tinker Tom and you’ll be sent back to the super mutant who wanted the data from it.
- The super mutant will recommend that you get help from your friends. You’ll get three optional quest objectives, one of which leads you back to Danse. Go back there, he’ll talk to you now.
- DON’T accept his offer to join the Brotherhood right away or he will bug out again after the conversation. Refuse, then talk to the other BoS members. Now you can go back and accept, Danse will tell you to go in the police station, and the Fire Support quest will finally complete.
- Talk to Danse to start the next quest, Call to Arms, to get the deep range transmitter and follow Danse. When he enters ArcTek he will probably say one line then turn around and immediately leave. This bug tends to happen if you got the previous bug.
- If you follow Danse he will go to Greygarden or back to the police station. Ignore him and work your way through ArcTek. You won’t get the flavor text or guidance from him but you don’t need him to be there to complete any of the quest objectives, even the one for following him.
- When you get the range extender, he’ll appear with you outside and offer you BoS membership. Whether or not you accept now, he’ll then say to meet him at the police station. Fast travel back there, he’ll be inside.
- Go inside. Call to Arms will complete and Semper Invicta will start. Agree to membership, the quest will complete and you’ll get the achievement.

GD it Bethesda, fix your s***

This can be done at almost any level. I was level 4 when I found the radio transmission. Completing the quest to the Police Station actually gave me a whole level and I received
Fallout 4Born SurvivorThe Born Survivor achievement in Fallout 4 worth 5 pointsReach Level 5

Once I completed the quest I was half way through level 6. Danse is a beast and will actually tank and kill everything for you.

I just followed this guide and worked out fine. https://www.vg247.com/2015/11/07/fallout-4-how-to-join-the-b...

Quest Giver: Paladin Danse
Location: Cambridge Police Station/ArcJet Systems

After raiding ArcJet's facility with Paladin Danse, finding the transmitter and returning to the surface, speak with the soldier. He will reward you with an offer to join the Brotherhood of Steel. Accept his offer and the Semper Invicta quest will begin. Now head back to the Cambridge Police Station and speak with Danse in order to unlock the achievement.

MISSABLE! - Completing the quest for the Institute called "Mass Fusion", will make the Brotherhood of Steel hostile and prevent you from completing their quests for good. Completing the quest for The Railroad called "Precipice of War" will also make the Brotherhood hostile! The game tells you this though before you do those actions.

Faction: Brotherhood of Steel
Quest Giver: Brotherhood of Steel Solider at Boston Airport/Military Radio Frequency AF95
Location: Cambridge Police Station

After you find Kellogg in the main story, you'll exit the building and see the Brotherhood of Steel Airship flying overhead. You'll get a misc objective to investigate it (unless you listened to Military Frequency AF95. Once you do, you'll get a quest from a solider to assist some soldiers at the Cambridge police station. Head over there and clear the place out to complete the first part of the quest.

You'll then need to speak to Paladin Dancs and complete the quest "Call to Arms". Doing this quest will then allow you to join the Brotherhood of Steel and unlock the trophy.

But there is still a possible bug that Paladin Dance will continue to shout Enemies! Fire! and you can’t go any further, you can’t talk to him => you can’t get a trophy, you can’t join the brotherhood.

If, when completing the quest "Fire Support", the paladin Dance continues to say "There are enemies here! Fire!", you need to go further through the plot and during the quest "Molecular Level", after receiving the drawings from Virgil, go to Dance and then he starts talking We answer him:
- in the first dialogue "fuck off";
- in the second dialogue “forget”.
Next, we interrupt the conversation and be sure to!!! We approach Scriptor Heylin, she must say “I don’t understand. Are you playing the role of a hero - or a victim?” After this, we return to Dance, now he is ready to give further quests.
Further, there may be a bug during the quest “Call to Arms”. It consists of Paladin Dance escaping from Arcjet Systems and heading back to the Cambridge Police Station. In this case, you just need to follow the quest without paying attention to the absence of the paladin Dance nearby; he will appear after leaving the building.
Both bugs still exist on PS4 as of June 2022.

The only thing that helped me.

https://community.bethesda.net/threa...art=0&tstart=0

I found a solution by 'silenticecream' on gamefaqs that worked for me.

You need to progress the main story line to get the quest 'Molecular Level'. After getting the Courser chip and speaking to Virgil, you will have the optional quest to "Speak to the Brotherhood". When you return to Cambridge Police Station, Danse will have new dialogue options.

You MUST decline his first invitation to the Brotherhood. After falling, if you try speaking to Scribe Haylen or Knight Rhys, they should have new angry dialogue. (This is a good sign!) Then, when you go back to Dance and finally accept their invitation, 'Fire Support' will complete!!
