The Molecular Level
Speak to Dr. Amari in Goodneighbor (Memory Den, From mission Dangerous Minds)

Okay now this will save you hours on hour of your life if you want the whole game done.

Since there has been some confusion. These are the quests for each faction the go with this quest which will help you get the faction related achievements

2. Railroad - Underground Undercover
3. Minutemen - Inside Job (don't even bother you're already done with all their quests)

This achievement glitched for me. Have the quest completed but never received the achievement. Does anyone know a fix for this?

So after i looked at some forums I saw that people had the same problem. But it wasn't that they weren't unlocking it's that they notification never popped up. So launch Achievement app and check there. I've had this problem myself... Or next time you start the game it will pop as I've also had achievements delay pop.

So, if you happen to progress past one of the quest lines for a faction, can it still be achieved without playing a second time?

So i found out up to Mass Fusion for the Institute before you use the relay you will get a notification about you are about to become enemies with the BoS do you with to continue? so you can do up to this quest and be in good standing with all three. But for sure Mass Fusion quest for Institute is the cut off for BoS!!!!

the reflector platform needs to be placed inside the beam emitter - Sturgis referred to it as an interceptor for me and I just spent 20 mins screaming at the TV as _Player keeps chiming in on how it all 'needs to be on the same grid' before helmethair finally mentioned the parts were out of 'alignment' argh

so I'm at the part where I go to either the BoS, Railroad, or Minutemen...the faction I choose (BoS or Railroad obviously for the achievements) will determine whose questline I can finish?

Completed a mission for PAM to reinforce Mercer station and talked to Tinker Tom again and somehow the build options unlocked. Bring it on, Institute!

I just posted this question in Hunter/Hunted.. can you use any faction to build the relay? My understanding is that you can do most quests up to this point as long as you do NOT make a choice in Mass Fusion (save right before that). I'm trying to 100% in one playthrough.

Do you need three large generators? Or can you use a mixture of generators? I chose railroad and that new settlement but it didn't work. So moved to sanctuary hills, but still didn't work. Everything is powered up but doesn't work.

If you accidently start building the device for the wrong faction, talk to Desdemona after you get OUT of the Institue and she'll ask you to change your affiliation!

These solutions by WhiteFang are so vague facepalm I don't know how he's gotten so many + votes... Used a combination of Gamefaqs, Fallout wiki and more to clarify the order to complete quests/required save points. One of the few times that the TA community has let me down.

Agreed. I still can't make sense of these guides. They're useless.

Needs to be more clear and specific.

Yeah, I had to reread this like 5 times. I guess the point of the guide is you have 4 ways of building this but to do the achievement through one gameplay you should only build it with the Railroad only Correct? Very confusing way of saying that.

I built the reflector platform at Sanctuary without getting help from any of the factions. I have the plans for the signal interceptor i bought from Tinker Tom, but the only two things under my special build menu are the reflector platform and Minutemen Artillery thing. I've tried to talk to all three factions and none of them will start a conversation with me about it. Seems bugged, but does anyone have a suggestion for how to proceed without reloading a pretty dated save?

Quest Giver: Starts following Hunter/Hunted
Location: Railroad HQ for analyzing chip, then a site of your choosing for building.

This is best location in the story to decide how you want to play out the rest of the story although it is not the last. TML itself is not a hard quest. You simply must get the chip analyzed (Railroad do it), and then return to Virgil. After you speak with Virgil he will inform you that you need help to make the signal interceptor. You can choose the Brotherhood, the Railroad, or the Minutemen to be the helpers for this project. Choose a faction here will not bar you from working with other factions, or with the Institute later.

Story related and cannot be missed

You will be tasked to go to the Glowing Sea and talk to an Institute scientist who has escaped from their laboratories, he will give you valuable information on how to access the Institute. He'll tell you about the Teleportation technology that the Institute uses then you will need to go to a faction to help build a Signal Interceptor, it doesn't matter who you go to as it will not effect anything. I went to the Minutemen as Sanctuary is an easy place to build stuff. The signal interceptor is a little tricky to build so you can follow this video if you get stuck at all.

During the quest, you will need to find the "Underground". See the hint for the Undercover work trophy

During the process of assembling the teleporter, difficulties arose with activating the platform. The way the hardware is connected seems to matter. Maybe someone will find my video tip useful.

There shouldn't be any problems with the assembly. We build a platform, and then three parts of the quest. We install the antenna, the console, the gadget, and insert the platform into the gadget. We connect everything to power (it’s better for each item to have its own generator because they eat immeasurably). Well, attach the antenna and other gadgets to the console. Why do you mind the wires?!
