How to unlock the Breach and Clear achievement in Fallout 76 - Definitive Guide

As off 13th of December 2018 after the update; Go to the mine highlighted on your map. Kill all the moleman and wait for the machine to appear out of the ground. The boxes that contain ore you can loot will unlock in three batches, for some of them you need the Hornwright senior executive id card. You do not need to loot all the boxes, I didn't as some of them where to high on the machine to reach for me but the achievement stil unlocked anyways.

How do we start and access this event? I’m level 57 and never once came across this

Watch the Ash Heap region on the map it will be there frequently.

When I did it, the boxes were empty but I was allowed to transfer a blank unknown item. I guess it was ore? Never said. Just kill everything and the achievement will unlock.

I tried finding this for a couple hours by walking around and joining different servers but I had no luck. Where are you guys typically seeing it pop up? Does it only show on your map when you get within distance of it?

Maybe it needs some time on the same server to trigger.

I just found the event at Hornwright Testing Site #03 , it's at the very bottom left side of the map in the ash region the testing site is to the left of where the railroad tracks end, in case you haven't discovered that area yet. I hadn't discovered it yet, but the event still showed up there.

So this may help, in order to make it appear you need to also have completed the Motherlode quest line at the mining office.

Having no luck with this one. I've completed the Motherlode questline, and have rumaged through server after server, but have yet to see ths event offered.

You need to be some time on one server than it spawnes byitself. Or make a party and all members hop the servers seperatly until one has it and the rest joins that server. Hit me up if you need help

Finally had the event showing up after checking my map often for days at the Hornwright Testing Site 3# near the vault 63 entrance. And got the achievement. If it doesn't show up for you, just keep an eye out for it.

SMG Evil, I just unlocked this now. I went to the Hornwright Testing Site #02, and killed all of the Molemen present. That triggered the yellow mining machine to rise, starting the event.

There are 3 different locations in the Ash Heap region (The black region of the map in the lower left corner) and they appear randomly. The one I originally did was one of the test sites in the far south. Just keep an eye on the map for it to appear

Breach and Clear is a random event that can spawn at one of the Hornwright Testing Sites (#2, #3, or #4) and requires the player to kill off hostile enemies and then there will be an opportunity to loot some boxes in between the waves of enemies. Once all the boxes disappear, the event will finish and unlock the achievement. See here for more info on this.

Type: Randomized Event
Recommended Character level: 10

This is your typical smash and grab event. This event will pop up in The Ash Heap area. It is randomized when it will spawn but its location is almost always between any of the Hornwright Testing Sites. I've provided a map below of where those are located in the Ash Heap. Whenever you log in to play just keep a regular eye on this area and if you see events popping up (yellow hexagon symbols on map) check to see if it's Breach and Clear or be more pro-active and travel between the Hornwright Testing Sites to get it to trigger.

Once triggered clear out the area of enemies and take the loot.

In this event, a station will rise from the ground containing random items, and maybe even a unique sword. The event is easy and should not cause any difficulties
