How to unlock the Monet of Murder achievement in Fallout 76 - Definitive Guide
I've seen two bats in the display case in the long hallway downstairs at the Whitesprings Golf Course. Scrap these at your Workbench to hopefully get a color mod. ( There's usually a bobblehead there, too, between two small picture frames.)
This Achievement Requires you to craft 50 weapon mods.
There's actually a super simple way to get this. You can actually use the same mod on the same weapon over and over until this pops.
You do this by selecting the mod (will give an example), crafting the mod, then selecting "No Upgrade", and them modding the weapon the same way again.
For example, I had plans for a Combat Knife, which takes very little resources to craft first of all. I then modded it for "Serrated Blade".
Component breakdown:
The Combat Knife Takes: 1 Adhesive, 1 Gear, 2 Rubber, and 3 Steel
The "Serrated Blade" Mod Takes: 1 Adhesive, 1 Fiberglass, and 3 Steel (Requires "Makeshift Warrior 2" Perk Card)
So in total, starting from 0 modded weapons this will only take you:
51 Adhesive, 50 Fiberglass, 153 Steel, 1 Gear and 2 Rubber, which is all very obtainable.
Using this method will definitely be the most economical way to do this, without costing you too many materials.
Note: you will need the Plan for this, but it's easy to obtain or you could use a weapon you already have the plans for, there are plenty of "Serrated Blade" capable weapons that are far more common. And obviously, component requirements will vary based on the weapon you use. But it definitely seems melee weapons, specifically bladed, are the way to go.
You can track your progress by selecting: Map, Menu, Challenges, Combat, Scroll down to Mod Weapons, Press Y to Track.
Head to the Whitespring Golf Club and head downstairs.
Pick up both baseball bats in the back hallway.
Fast Travel to your base of operations.
Scrap one of the baseball bats
If you don't get a color mod, you will have to return back to the golf club to pick up the bats again on a different server.
Then start modding the second bat with the color and remove it.
Once you hit the 50 times, the trophy/Achievement will pop.
You need to have the Makeshift Weapons Perk card enabled.
It should cost you 150 wood scraps to complete the trophy from the beginning.
You can watch my video for help.
Thanks

In order to mod weapons you have to have acquired the mod plans from looting in the world, quest rewards or buying them from vendors. Once you've unlocked modifications for the weapons you own you can go into your Weapon Workbench and apply those modifications so long as you have the required loot and required perk card (if applicable.)
A lot of the nicer modifications on the higher level weapons will require certain perk cards to be activated.

If you can craft a Combat Knife, you will likely see that there is a section when you modify it where "No Upgrade" is listed twice. By selecting one and then the other over and over, this will unlock in mere minutes without using any crafting materials. This is likely a bug and I will remove this part of the guide if they choose to fix it.
Modding a weapon first requires a plan, which you can find by scrapping a similar weapon that had a mod attached to it. Once you get a mod, and have a weapon it can be applied to, you'll need to make sure you have materials for it by scrapping anything and everything in the game world. Some mods (such as paint jobs) can be removed after they are applied, so doing one of these and removing it/re-applying it over and over is the quickest way to get this.

Have you collected guns and clubs to disassemble for rubbish? Before doing this, make modifications for everyone. And the trophy will not be long in coming.
