How to unlock the Never Go it Alone! achievement in Fallout 76 - Definitive Guide

This is now a LOT easier with the Public Teams feature introduced in one of the Wastelanders patches.

Whenever you log in, press the START button then RB. This should take you to the social tab. Scroll along until you see 'Public Teams'. Join an open team. If there are multiple open teams, just flick between them. Try to stay in each group for about a minute to ensure it counts!

You can server hop once you have gone through all of the teams on your server. However, I recommend that you just find a team offering 4x event XP and stick with it. You are in no rush to get this achievement (I guess), and sticking with a team and banging out some events will get you closer to the level-based achievements. Just make sure that each time you log in to the game, you make a beeline for joining a public team.

I thought I had joined enough teams through the Public Teams tab. It popped when I went to Recent players tab, clicked on one player and chose Join Public Team.

Can you join, leave, rejoin? Would make double boxing this one a snap.

The achievement description is misleading. You do not have to "join" 20 teams. Mine did not pop after joining 20 teams, but I requested 20 people to join my team. Only 3 people accepted.

Request 20 people to join your team and the achievement will pop regardless if they join or not.

I need someone to invite me to their team, if that’s how it works?
Edit: nope. Didn’t get it that way, will keep trying.

are you physically walking up to people and pressing "A" to invite them? Or can you use the player list when pulling up the map?

Anyone who wants to finish off all Online Achievements together ? (You have to have at least 20x Stimpacks for the Revives)

I'm fairly certain that I have invited 20 people (4 joined) via the map but not unlock. Do I need to go up to people in game to do it?

Update on my end, eventually I got it. I walked up to my friend and he joined 20 times but it didn't work. Eventually I just started inviting random players and upon someone else joining it gave me the achievement. I think the tracking for this just sucks...

Not popping for me either, along with the 20 challenges but I only had to do like 10 more before it popped. 20 teams will not pop at all, invited about 100 people and not worked :(

My friend is trying to get this and it might very well be bugged. It’s not unlocking after trying various things. I also noticed no one has been scanned on TA for unlocking it since the 22nd of Oct. (Bethesda probably bugged it with an update).

I have yet to unlock this achievement and have NEVER attempted to invite someone to a team however I have progress (about 1/4th toward unlocking it) The closest thing I am aware I may have done is invite another player to the game and we co-op'd a few times is all. Could that possible count toward it?

**DEC 2019 UPDATE** This achievement isn’t broke, it’s just fixed. This guide is outdated and completely wrong as this method does not work anymore.

You have to physically join a group with people.

I worked on this while I was grinding to level 100. Before logging out to switch servers, invite everyone in the zone to a party. 9 times out of 10, someone will join. Wait until you get the notification that so and so joined on the right of your screen. Log out, log in, rinse and repeat. I did this 20 times with 20 different people while leveling and achievo unlocked on magic number 20.

Just unlocked this. I can confirm this achievement REQUIRES you to go up to a play and to send an invite. I joined around 18 teams and sent about 30 invites. It finally unlocked

Invites alone do not count anymore. You have to be in a group with the person.
19 times I grouped via invite by non person. But on the 20th time I grouped, it was a face to face invite. And it popped.
All 20 groupings were different people. And only 1 was done in person.

FYI, me and wife got this cheevo by only playing together.
We definitely haven't been playing for 20 days but some days the server kicked us out and we had to rejoin the team, and we did a few pK to each other. Anyway, my point is this works on same team over several days, so don't fret if you're playing with set group of friends.

I am absolutely convinced this is bugged because I swear I’ve joined like 50 teams by now

I also seem to be struggling to get this to unlock, Tried reaching out to Bethesda for any information got nothing back through my ticket or my email, I did get a response back through twitter regardless of it not being any help.

Edit: Checked my Junk Mail, I did get a email back from them. Been told they will pass the information on to their technicians and to keep a eye out on there website for future patch notes. https://fallout.bethesda.net

Any news if this achievement tracking has been patched or updated? I have invited well over 20 players and then joined a few teams and still nothing. Looks like we now need to join or form 20 different teams for this achievement to unlock... Or it's broken..

This achievement is fairly straightforward and can pretty much be boosted with a few friends or just one friend. The unlock requirements on some of Fallout 76's achievements have been known to be somewhat sketchy but this is as follows...

Start a world/join a random world. Have that friend join the game too. Have them invite you to a team through the social menu and then just hang out for a minute. Then either leave the team or leave the game entirely (essentially disbanding the team), load into a new world, and rinse-and-repeat.

Like I said, sometimes unlock requirements can be sketchy, as far as I am aware I did this just playing with people I knew as I hardly ever played F76 with strangers. In the event it doesn't work with a few buddies, asking around on the server using the social menu with the emphasis you're boosting for an achievement should help... some people, more often than not, will help either for free or for a few caps.

Take care out in the Wasteland folks!

UPDATE: Here's a slight addition from the comments user "oxHARMONxo" mentioned. As this achievement could be bugged depending on the type of invite used. They stated "I remember reading someone said they had well over 20 teams, but it only unlocked after a face to face invite. Just tried a face to face invite after dozens of teams and it unlocked first try..."

So if you're in doubt and can't get the invite to pop through the in-game social menu, try inviting them through any other means necessary such as through Xbox Live or directly face-to-face in game when hovering your cursor over them like you would to trade.

I can confirm as of a few minutes ago that joining one of the new Public Teams does count for this achievement. I was done playing for the night and joined one as the last thing to do and when I did, the achievement popped.

For this trophy you need to team up with another player or players 20 times. If you have a steady friend you're playing with simply joining up with them a total of 20 times will net you this trophy.

If you do not have a friend or team you can try out just randomly selecting folks on the map and inviting them to join you. Once they do, if you aren't truly in the mood for their company you can leave the team. Most lower level players are more willing to join up so focus on them.

It's been reported that just inviting folks to join unlocks the trophy for them but I did not have the luck.

Also you can use the boosting thread to find a partner for this.

This achievement description is slightly misleading, and also seems to have a lot of issues with its tracking according to player reports. How it should unlock is simply by sending invites for people to join your party a total of 20 times. It could be the same person 20 times, or at least that's how it should work. As I mentioned, the tracking seems off and many people report it not unlocking despite using 20 different people, joining multiple teams, etc. Just keep throwing out invites until it unlocks.

We add everything alive on the server to the team, sooner or later it will fall out.

You just need to add everyone in a row. It turned out +- after 40 people were invited to the team, while only one person accepted the invitation during the entire period.

You can do it with one person, you don’t have to join different teams. We played together with a friend for twenty days; he was always the leader of the team. That is, I clicked “join” him, then he invited, and I joined the team. The trophy fell to both me and him.

Just by logging into the server, options, , teams, look in which team there is a place, go there and so on 20 times, complete it as you gain level 100, in general it’s better to always be on a team, bonuses for experience or additional points to abilities are never superfluous

There was a problem with this trophy. I sent more than 100 invitations. And through a map, and through a list, and in person... Perhaps earlier, before various types of updates, simple invitations were also counted. But I got this trophy only after someone paid attention to our invitation and added to my group, and so on 20 times.
