How to unlock the Reclamation Day! achievement in Fallout 76 - Definitive Guide
To clarify on achievements/trophies for Fallout 76: If there's an achievement for a quest (finish a thing, leave the Vault) you did in BETA you will have to use a new character to get that achievement. If it's for things like build a CAMP or craft a weapon, those should unlock.

Thanks for this! Does anyone know if you can have more than one character? Or does it mean if you are wanting the achievements you will have to start fresh? I had just hit level 15 and I'd rather not lose that.

I feel your pain but it's not too bad to start over. I was 15 with decent perks and weapons and was thinking about starting fresh anyway. I hit level 10 on my first night of playing out of beta and have already found better weapons and armor than what I had. Hate that I lost my power armor frame but they are everywhere anyway.

Wake up in Vault 76 and follow the quest markers to the exit. Be sure to pick up some supplies on your way out and use the overseers terminal for mission update. Upon exiting the vault, the achievement will unlock.
If you played the B.E.T.A and completed the mission, you might be required to create a new character and replay the mission for the achievement to unlock until Bethesda implement a way to get achievements retroactively.
As you exit the vault, on your emidiate right there will be a corpse on the ground. Loot it for a pipe pistol and some ammo. Also as you exit the vault, there will be a couple of stairs in front of you. At the bottom you will find a Responder corpse (Fallout 76 faction) with a machete among other things. Be sure to pick the machete up as melee weapons (as of right now at least) melee weapons are increadibly powerful in Fallout 76 and ammo might be scarce in the beginning.
If you give a negative vote, please leave a comment why so I may improve future solutions.

As you emerge from Vault 76, turn to your right and there will be a corpse on the ground that can be looted for a pipe pistol and some rounds. Opposite the vault door, you'll see some stairs going downwards. At the bottom you'll find another corpse with a machete. Be sure to pick this up as you'll likely being using it against enemies until you get a steady supply of ammo.

Type: Main Quest
Recommended Character level: Level 1
The quest will begin once you grab your pipboy. This is a very simple quest. Make sure to pick up everything you can from Vault 76 before you leave. Once you exit you aren't able to return and there are tons of items to help you with the beginning of your journey. You'll get plenty of quest markers to help you along the way

Upon creating your character, you will need to follow the Overseer's instructions through the tutorial, gearing yourself up for the world outside. You'll meet other Mr. Handy characters at each tutorial workshop before you pick up your PipBoy and leave the vault. Be sure to look everywhere and loot everything you can, as once you leave the Vault, you won't be able to return at all. Primarily, look at every table you come across and make sure to take almost everything on them, especially Perk Cards, ammo, and weaponry.
