How to unlock the Shwag achievement in Fallout 76 - Definitive Guide

If you'd just like a link to where all the Bobblehead spawn locations are. Then open the spoiler below and follow the link. Potential Spoilers ahead within the link.

Dropping the Bobbleheads for a friend do not work sadly. The same goes for Magazines too.

I fully believe that just playing the game naturally will net you 10 Bobbleheads minimum over your playthrough from Levels 1-100 but below are two methods I used to try and get the achivdmt just over and done with. Personally I found Method 2 to be more successful over time of a month whilst Method 1 worked for the majority of my first 10.

Audio:
Pick up Percepit-Bobble Perk from the Perception tree at level 16 (Minimum requirement)
Turn the game music down and the radio off as mush as I enjoyed a bit of the Beach Boys, I missed a few "pings" I'd search only when you're not in combat. The audio cue for the perk is relatively quiet and you might miss it if you're running away or double barrelling a Super Mutant (or distracted by swanky tunes) The sound gets louder when you're within a 3 demential radius. But it's range is pretty limited. The Bobbleheads themselves aren't fixed so explosions may have blown them across the room or passing mobs may have knocked them off their spawns.

Method 1:
Choose one of the locations that have multiple Bobblehead spawning. I chose the Vault-Tec Agricultural Research Centre because the low level surrounding and ease of just spawning in, running around and getting out.
It's also one of the first area's you'll encounter so hopefully overlooked by a lot of the new players passing through. Run in, find the Bobbleheads. Quit game and then find another Server. It should put you in a new Server and thus hopefully renewing your chance of another shot at them.
This netted me a good 7 Bobbleheads over time (5 in this Locations and 2 in another) but I'd give it 5 refreshes max before moving on and getting on with the game for a few hours before retrying.

Method 2:
I was cheap and saving Caps so I set up my C.A.M.P just outside of Tyler County Fairgrounds (Far Northwest of the map. The Ferris wheel)
There's 3 potential spawns around the Fairgrounds.
Searched, fast travelled North to Darling Sister's Lab. Then to Groves Family Cabin and finally the Aaronholt Homestead. Search Quit. Reload. The same route but reversed. This only netted me 3 Bobbleheads overall (Before the Achievement popped) but I gained more XP per run due to enemies spawning all over the place.
I'd avoid VW Lumber Co. altogether. Just for the shear amount of Super Mutants there and the amount of time it takes to clear them out makes only good if you're farming the XP and rather spend the time fighting.
I'd opt for this route particularly since there's also 7 chances for Magazines to spawn in these locations too. Magazines seem to be harder to come across and it's a very cheap route to run if you're conscious about Caps. The Ghouls at the Fairgrounds should recover your losses.

If you guys have have more success in places, please do let me know in the comments and I'll update this solution!

Do you have to use them or can I just pick them up and put them on my stand at camp? I have 21 so far but I bought some

From what I was aware of around launch. I’ve not played it since the additional achievements so the requirements may have been tweaked:

- You have to pick them up from their spawn point. Trading and dropping/picking back up won’t work.

- You don’t have to use them. Just collect them from their spawn point.

People sell them on LFG’s since some can be pretty useful depending on what your character build/level and current objective is.

I found this a bit of a struggle. Whitesprings and the fairground didn't yield a single bobblehead. I got two at The Sons of Dane. Best place, for me, is the Pioneer Scout Camp. Top of the tower. You can check if it's there with a scope and there are no enemies.

Where are they all? My husband and I spent about 5 hours over 2 days hunting for bobble heads and haven’t found a single one we both have the card that make the sound when we are near one but haven’t seen or heard a thing!

I have found 3 bobbleheads on the top of Toxic Larry's Meat n Go in about 10-15 visits. I have also gotten 4 magazines from the bed frame on the second floor in those visits. Nice spot to try if you are struggling, but you will have 3 snallygasters to kill.

Do I have to have 10 in my inventory at once? I've just been using them because I just assumed I needed to use the bobbleheads as well.

You shouldn’t have to use the Bobbleheads. Just collect them for their natural spawn.
I hadn’t played FO76 in quite some time but did pick up again after one of the more recent updates.

I was going for Bobbleheads for the challenges and found this video to be quite useful. From memory, I had better luck around Wavy Willard’s
https://youtu.be/on5mQp2xH6o?si=jNhPWsKuEj0htzCq

In short. The video shows:
Wavy Willard’s: 4
Tyler County Fairgrounds: 3
Camden Park: 4

I found 4 of the 11 in a single run before jumping server.

I want to let people know tht the bobble heads collected in Nuclear Winter count to the achievement, I know as a fact as I unlocked this one during a game of it, picking up a bobble head caused it to pop right away.

Similar to the magazines, bobbleheads in Fallout 76 provide temporary bonuses to your character when found, and have a chance to spawn in multiple locations when you load into a new server. You can find a full list of the bobbleheads and their possible locations here. Once you have collected and used any 10 of them (could be the same type ten times), the achievement will unlock.

Bobbleheads (as well as magazines) appears repeatedly throughout the world and will randomly respawn in locations. If you go to find a bobblehead in a known location and it isn't there then try loading into another world. It could be that it isn't spawning right now in that location or it could be that someone beat you to it recently.

The following bobbleheads are available in the game:

  • Agility Bobblehead - gives: +2 Agility.
  • Big Guns Bobblehead - gives: Heavy gun damage increased by 20%.
  • Caps Bobblehead - gives: Cap stashes likely to hold twice as many caps.
  • Charisma Bobblehead - gives: +2 Charisma.
  • Endurance Bobblehead - gives: +2 Endurance.
  • Energy Weapons Bobblehead- gives: Energy gun damage increased by 20%.
  • Explosive Bobblehead - gives: Explosive damage increased by 20%.
  • Intelligence Bobblehead - gives: +2 Intelligence.
  • Leader Bobblehead - gives: Earn 5% more experience.
  • Lock Picking Bobblehead - gives: Sweet spot is 30% bigger.
  • Luck Bobblehead - gives: +2 Luck.
  • Medicine Bobblehead - gives: Stimpaks heal 30% more.
  • Melee Bobblehead - gives: Melee weapons deal 20% more damage.
  • Perception Bobblehead - gives: +2 Perception.
  • Repair Bobblehead - gives: Fusion cores last 30% longer.
  • Science Bobblehead - gives: An extra guess when hacking.
  • Small Guns Bobblehead - gives: Ballistic gun damage icnreased by 20%.
  • Sneak Bobblehead - gives: Sneaking makes you 30% harder to detect.
  • Strength Bobblehead - gives: +2 Strength.
  • Unarmed Bobblehead - gives: Unarmed attacks deal 25% more damage.

An easy help to finding bobbleheads is by activating the Percipti-Bobble Perk Card. It is available as a Perception Perk at Level 16 and will give you an audio cue whenever you're near a bobblehead:

If you're grinding out the terminal hacks for Code Cruncher using the video listed under that trophy be aware that there is a bobblehead that spawns RIGHT NEXT to that terminal making for an easy way to get both of these trophies out of the way.

It is enough to find one doll. Put it in the cache, close the cache and pick it up again. This is counted in statistics as +1 bobblehead. Repeat the algorithm 9 times and you have the trophy.

This method, personally, does not work for me! 03/22/2020
But bobbleheads in the "Nuclear Winter" (Battle Royale) mode count. But finding them is not a problem!

Place the card to detect baby dolls and if you are nearby a characteristic sound will appear, in my opinion the best way
