How to unlock the The New Fort Knox achievement in Fallout 76 - Definitive Guide
When you earn Treasury notes you take them to gold bullion vending machines at Crater/Foundation to get your gold bullion.
At the vending machine screen you vendor your notes and can then switch tab WITHOUT exiting the machine and tab back you should be able to purchase the notes you just sold.
You then sell the notes tab , tab back and buy the gold rinse and repeat.
The game registers the gold you receive as gold earned despite the fact you never have more than what you should have.
Best to do this with a larger sum of notes and quickly as its sure to get patched at some point.
I would add I did this after completing my quest line for the Foundation.
Once you get a few treasury notes, you can go to the gold press machine and sell and repurchase your notes. Do not exit the machine, if you do, you will have to pick up more treasury notes.

- At the end of the Wastelanders quest you can get either 500 or 1000 gold bullion, depending on your choice. For this achievement, taking it all is best; however, for the overall completion donating half is best to get the extra reputation for your chosen faction.
- Complete public events and daily faction missions. These will reward Treasury Notes which can be turned in to the gold vending machines in either faction camp. These machines only carry 200 gold bullion per day.
- Purchase gold bullion at The Wayward for 1000 caps per 50 gold bullion. This obviously gets expensive.
Gold Bullion is a new premium currency in Wastelanders that allows you to purchase items from the faction vendors. The vendors will have different inventory depending on your rank with that faction. To earn gold, you will first need to complete the main Wastelanders story quests (you'll see why) and then you can do the following:

Once you have a cumulative total of 1500 gold bullion earned (don't need to have that much on you at once), the achievement will unlock.
At the end of either faction's story arc, you will complete the quest Secrets Revealed. That quest itself will give you 500 gold bullion or 1,000 if you keep all the treasure yourself (see Friends in Low Places). Completing that quest begins your progress on this trophy, providing two sources of bullion:
- All daily quests and events will give you Treasury Notes. Those exchange for bullion at gold press vending machines. There is a daily limit to that exchange so be sure to trade in as often as possible.
- If you complete the entire Wayward story arc, there will be a vendor named Smiley upstairs at the Wayward. He will sell you bullion for Caps, up to a weekly limit. This is expensive but if you have spare Caps, it's an easy way to earn the trophy.
If you are going for the faction alliance trophies, this one should come naturally as you run the faction daily missions. The grind from Neighbourly to Ally rank will produce at least 800 bullion from faction missions, more if you also use Davenport's mission.
