As a note, if you have the Lady Killer perk, you can get the items from Old Lady Gibson for free.

This is without a single doubt the longest sidequest in Fallout history, if not RPG history

Note: you can gain or lose karma by using the navigation panel next to the lauch button with 55 in science. Here you can improve the course by 12.5% for good karma and cause them to run into eachother for bad karma. For me I took a magzine and took some mentats to get my science up.

Also I'm curious if anyone else had my issue; when I went back to talk to Davidson after learning about the Stealth Boy shipment, I could click to talk to you but he instantly starts fighting me. I am curious what "should" happen. Thanks.

After I completed this side quest, all saves made afterwards were corrupt. This happened after the first big patch so I would avoid this mission until they release another update. I was able to load a save made right before I started this side mission and just continued from there without any problems. I don't think everybody has had this issue but just wanted to hopefully save somebody from losing a lot of progress!

Update 12/13 - The newest patch is on it's way which looks like it will fix this issue! http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/113/1139784p1.html

To start the quest Come Fly With Me either speak to No-Bark Noonan he should be walking the streets in Novac or will be in his house and he will tell you to go to the REPCONN facility and give you a marker on your map to the location or head there your yourself providing you know the location.

Enter the facility and talk to the intercom after that you will be told to go upstairs to go and speak to Jason Bright, from there you will get the quest. Simply complete the quest to get the achievement.

I also was able to access this mission by speaking to Manny Vargas located in the t-rex sniper point during the day.

You will receive the Come Fly With Me quest after talking with Manny Vargas in Novac. Here, he'll ask you to rid the ghouls from the nearby REPCONN testing facility. Here, you'll meet Jason Bright who will ask for your help. Complete the following journal entries and the achievement will unlock after you've finished the mission. Check out a detailed walkthrough, here.

Journal Entries:

  1. Head to the REPCONN facility west of Novac to investigate rumors of ghoul activity there.
  2. Enter the facility and discovery the source of the ghouls.
  3. Head upstairs to meet with the owner of the voice from the intercom.
  4. Speak with Jason Bright, the leader of the REPCONN ghouls.
  5. Get rid of the Nightkin in the basement.
  6. (Optional) Help the Nightkin by searching for Stealth Boys.
  7. (Optional) Find Harland's friend, who has been imprisoned by the Nightkin.
  8. (Optional) Return to Harland and let him know the bad news.
  9. Report to Jason Bright that the Nightkin are gone.
  10. Head to the REPCONN basement and talk to Jason Bright about what comes next.
  11. Speak to Chris Haversam about firing the rockets.
  12. Find parts to fix the rockets' thrust controllers.
  13. Find atomic fuel for the rockets.
  14. Return to the Rocket Facility and give the parts to Chris Haversam.
  15. Talk to Chris Haversam to begin preparations for the rocket launch.
  16. Head up to the viewing platform and complete the launch sequence.

This mission is a side quest received in Novac or when exploring the REPCONN Test Site.

When you make it to the top of the facility, you will be met by Jason Bright and tasked with cleaning the Nightkin out of the basement level. You can either kill them all or convince them to leave if you speak to their leader Davison before you kill any of his bretheren. He'll give you a task that will lead you to another ghoul named Harland, a sniper who also needs your help. If you help them both out, you can resolve the situation peacefully and both Harland and Davison's Nightkin will leave. Otherwise you can kill one or the other (or both) to expedite the situation. Once the basement levels are clear Bright gives you the second half of this quest.

He needs Thrust Control Modules and a barrel of Igniting Agent to launch the rockets. Both can be obtained in short order by going to Gibson Scrap Yard. She'll sell you the modules for 500 caps, but a Speech/Barter of 50 will cut the price in half, or using the Lady Killer perk you'll get them for free. If you're short of funds or morals, theft and/or murder is also an option. If you ask her about the Igniting Agent, she'll say that she sold a container of the goop to a researcher who's body you'll find at Clark Field. Go to the marker and loot his corpse, and take both items back to Bright at REPCONN.

If you've talked to Chris Haversam and made the dubious choice of telling him that Bright is going to leave him behind, you'll also have the option of bringing 3 boxes of Sugar Bombs to him in order to sabotage the rockets!

The quest is considered completed when the rockets are either launched or sabotaged, but if you choose to launch the rockets, make sure to examine the navigation console on the observation platform before you start the launch. You'll upgrade the rocket's trajectory for an extra 200 XP on top of the mission rewards! If the karma hit wasn't enough, this should be more than enough incentive to do the right thing.

In this quest, you can solve everything without bloodshed, if you don’t want to fight shadows. After talking with the ghoul, go to the basement and sneak up to the main shadow mutant (the one who receives orders from the Brahmin skull), he will not be immediately hostile to you, just try to give him more or less normal answers during the dialogue. He will ask you to find the stealth combat warehouse for which they came; you will have to kill the ghoul in an ambush, but he is not a particularly dangerous enemy. I just found out yesterday how to do this
